Part of our government’s response was to circumvent procurement rules to ‘tackle the emergency.’
They spent well over £1 billion of our money with unqualified companies linked to ministers – in several cases in return for nothing usable.

An even worse example is how they circumvented the NHS and are spending £37 billion (!) on the so-called “NHS test and trace” programme which has been heavily criticised by the National Audit Office in two separate reports for failure to deliver.
