We have been following the story of the @ALLIANCELGB having a stall at next week’s Tory Party Conference. We have seen the post from @GaryJPowell reporting that Tory Trans activists have been sending abusive messages to Tory Conf’ organisers.
We at @LesbianLabour have been accused by LGBT+Labour of supporting another political party because we RT and like tweets from Gary. We are sick to the back teeth of @UKLabour but we remain members of the Labour Party campaigning to give a voice to same sex attracted Lesbians
We support Gary, not because he is a Tory, we are well aware he is but because he is a gay man who like us is attracted to his own sex. We have more in common with him than those in LGBT Labour who told us we were bigots because we are exclusively attracted to biological women
We are sure there is a bit of political game playing in inviting @ALLIANCELGB to the Tory Party Conf’ but nonetheless we are glad they will be there & know they will raise the concerns of Lesbians like us. We also know they would not have been invited to the Lab’ Conference.
So @ALLIANCELGB is the only organisation that is campaigning for us. As far as we know @LesbianLabour is the only Lesbian led group openly campaigning in a Political Party. Not to hear us is discriminatory. @ALLIANCELGB , @GaryJPowell @LesbianLabour this is about our existence.
