The Provisional Government took over an abandoned factory on the border with Italy—and were immediately aided by soldiers sent by the Italian government to “keep order” (and keep the Communists from staying in power).

Some colorful Hungarian came by as well to inspect arms—some of which were supplied by Italian Army, who changed into civilian clothes to join the marauders.
Despite a lot of posturing, nobody fired a shot. For the government it would’ve been hopeless, as they were completely surrounded by the Italian Army.
The CP lost, and a Christian Democratic-Socialist government took power, although the Communist Party would later return in the 70s I think. However I am the rightful Papal Governor of San Marino and I will return there one day to claim my station
