"If you often procrastinate, open this"

Thread
The root of procrastination for most people ain't laziness, it's anxiety.
Procrastination is the silent dream killer.
The best way to get something done is to begin.
Your anxiety will tell you the worst case scenario.

It’s a damn liar.
If you're a procrastinator, you will find every excuse not to do what you need to do.

DO IT FIRST, I call it reverse procrastination.
Starting is hard, but if you can get over that hump you'll not only have some degree of momentum, but your brain is more likely to pester you to keep working on the task.
Be nice to yourself, and take it easy.
Everything will be okay, you can do this.

Fill your heart & mind with positive things.
Stop being a perfectionist.
Break down the task into the smallest possible pieces.
Change your thinking from focusing on the short-term to the long-term.
Reward yourself after a job well done.
Try visualizing the completion of your task in the positive way.
You’re more likely to start your task and finish it all if you write it down and check things off of your list as you complete them.
Tell yourself the magic phrase:

“I will just do X for 2 minutes”.

When you give yourself permission to only do something for 2 minutes and then stop, you trick yourself to do it.
Repeat after me!

- I am brave
- I am strong
- I can do this
- I am capable enough
- I'm not going to procrastinate today
- I refuse to let negative thoughts control Me.
