Yes! We must!
Equity IS funding students!
To empower ALL students to find the best educational opportunities to meet their individual needs. #FundStudents
For example gifted kids, who's needs arent met in school, is a HUGE problem. Im not talking about gifted programs, but access to appropriate acceleration oppty in school
If needs arent met by school & they cant afford enrichment outside of school or dont have transportation, then
...when, where, how will their needs be met? And the over correction to EQUITY, is to hold students back from acceleration.
Look at CA Math Matters petition. Look at how they are killing math across the country in the name of EQUITY...
Honestly, I dont care about gifted prgms, as long as needs are being met with access to acceleration or other ways there are at least 18 ways to accelerate a kid

@ReopenWcpss@Stephan05593081@ncae The battle of the 😷 is but 1 aspect of the larger battle. Other aspects include the quality of educ. (or lack there of) as well as quality of educators. Not to mention the Critical Theory/implicit bias/intersectionality being injected. Speaking of injected, there's that, too.
@KateMullinID@DrAparnaBole@DrAmyBeck@MonicaGandhi9 I believe, the article is trying to paint a dividing line. Leading readers to believe & blame that "white flight" or "wealth flight" is why public schools are failing...(cont.)
@KateMullinID@DrAparnaBole@DrAmyBeck@MonicaGandhi9 Homeschooling pop. also growing like gangbusters. The most interesting thing is the supposedly "best" & wealthiest public school districts REFUSE to work w/ homeschool families in a hybrid model. The districts that allow hybrid homeschooling get to retain the ADM dollars. (Cont.)
