If you're a young guy who feels deficient in masculinity I promise you'd gain infinitely more from working on a residential construction crew for a year compared to following some trad manliness blog trying to sell you beard oil or whatever
You will:
- acquire skills that are useful and respectable, including the ability to fix up your own home
- learn how to banter and handle confrontation
- grow immensely in accountability/integrity
- get ripped
- get humbled (a lot)
Addendum: if you enter manual labor thinking "Oh boy time for masculinity camp! This will be so based" you're a dork and probably won't make it. The good stuff comes if you're willing to shut up and submit and work really hard
Also some contractors will treat you like a son and some will make you shovel asbestos in a decrepit basement without PPE. The quality of your experience is massively dependent on who you work for

Nobody wants to hear this but if 500 rioters can raze entire blocks in your town with scant resistance from locals then your community destroyed itself years ago and now you're witnessing the material consequences of its spiritual devastation
It's so myopic of conservatives to performatively mourn the "death of the nuclear family" when it's the death of the COMMUNITY that has rendered America into a socially impoverished wasteland
I think about my working class grandparents and the parties they'd host when I was a kid. Impromptu parties attended by 3rd cousins and coworkers, neighbors and friends, laughing into the night just celebrating one another's company. That's been replaced by Netflix for most
We live in a country founded for the sole purpose of defying its parent nation so please don't be shocked that it couldn't even be loyal to itself for 200 years
You know how relationships that begin as acts of infidelity are always doomed to destroy themselves from the resentment and distrust they inevitably induce?
Why wouldn't the same go for nations founded via revolution?
You don't actually live in America anymore. You live on a vast landmass referred to as 'America' ruled by an evil empire that calls itself 'America' but you don't actually live in America anymore. There have been like 6 or 7 'Americas' since its inception.
