You may be reading about 5 men who prosecutors refused to charge after a gang-related gunfight left 1 dead and 2 injured Friday.

...For the critics who are saying the police "did nothing," it's worth noting that they drove into the middle of a gunfight, seemingly protected a fallen man, and arrested five suspects.

That's a whole lot of "nothing."
Now, here's where it gets REALLY stupid. That SAME police surveillance camera captured this shooting don't he same block last year. Notice the baby.

...Now, one of the victims says he was shot near the hospital.

The sergeant asks the dispatcher if there were any shots fired near the hospital. She immediately says "negative" even though she dispatched a call of shots fired outside the hospital's location less than 20 mins ago

I suspect many people would be surprised to hear how common it is for Cook County judges to release men accused of violent sexual assaults or serial sexual assaults on relatively low bail and sometimes without electronic monitoring.
...Not long ago, we published a story after one such man was sentenced to prison. He spent years sending email threats about our initial story and even managed to get a juicy federal PPP loan while on bond.
...Off the top of my head, I can think of two men accused of being *serial* rapists who are wandering around on head-scratchingly low bail. Both allegedly raped multiple women — highly intoxicated or drugged— they met in or near bars.
