A thread on my #thoughts
Idk how many of you will relate of these or with how many things you will relate, but let's do it.
People say "Don't look back".

But the thing is, looking back and introspecting is so important.

They should say "Don't go back!
It's a blessing to write down your thoughts regularly. That's the only way to reflect on yourself a year later. You start to see how you used to be earlier and what has changed, be it good or bad.
Love is like start-up.

Rarely you succeed at first.
Nobody can be an innocent forever. Just make sure you don't turn out to be a crook.
Trading is the profession in which you already know that you are going to fail sometimes and that's what makes you humble and kind. You start to respect failures.
Experience = time × efforts

No substitute for either.
Everyone is trying to train their subconscious by doing more, not knowing it can only be trained by doing less.

Less social media.
Less junk food.
Less unnecessary sleep.
Less complex lifestyle.
When in confusion what to play, play a Amit Trivedi song.
It's been 4 years since I'm using the same keyboard and I've seen ₹ symbol for the first time.
Aaj tak google se copy karta tha. 😂
Idk if you can relate to this but I live in the i-love-long-hair syndrome half the year and i-love-short-hair syndrome the other half.
60s-70s songs have given us enough wisdom to live life peacefully.

"Gam aur khushi me fark na mehsoos ho jahan,
Main dil ko us mukaam pe laata chala gaya!"
Instant gratification and social validation are two biggest mental disorders for today's generation.
People have said I write good and they think I must be having interesting thoughts all the time, but it's quite opposite. My thoughts are either isolating or violent and mostly traumatizing.
Never consider yourself a good trader in a bull market.
When you leave your craving of seeking social validation, everything falls into place, because now the only person you're listening to is, you.
Trusting a trading mentor is like entering into a new relationship.

You know the other person might give you happiness but you are also afraid because the last person broke your heart.
Focus on making one thing best rather than four things better.
How to become successful? Fina a micro niche and dominate it.
Don't believe everything everyone says. They WANT you to believe that they live the life they talk.
Read a book because you want to read a book, not because you should or someone is telling you to.
Feelings are temporary.

Temperament is permanent.

Impermanence is truth.
People follow procrastination like a religion. But it must be avoided like a taboo.
Trust your loved ones just the way you trust celebrities selling products that they doesn't even use.
Trading is not as easy as your backtest report.

Your backtest doesn't get scared.
It doesn't get greedy.
It doesn't shiver.
You do.
Only diff btwn new trader and pro trader is that a pro trader can wait 2 hours to take a good trade and a new trader can't. Thinks he has to trade all the time. He takes random trades and when there's a real trade coming, either the capital is wiped out, or his mental capacity is
I personally believe Pareto principle applies to our life as well. 20% of our actions decides 80% of the results we get. 20% of the decisions and brainstorming will lead to 80% of the life we live. 80% time, we're just following that 20% plan. (1/2)
So it's okay if, some percentage of the time, you feel worthless and empty. It's just a timely feeling and will be gone with time. (2/2)
Views = 300,
Likes = 50,
Comments = maybe just 5,
DMs = 1 or 2,

Everyone is watching you get successful, only 1 or 2 are really happy about it.

Those 1 or 2 people are your real friends.
Nice IIT degree bro, lekin trading seekhne ko fir bhi time lagega. 😂😂
Someone asked me, kaunsi kaum ke ho?

I replied, bcom.
Humans are like options.

Some expire worthless.
Biggest mistake:

People try to find peace and gratitude in "things".
If you want to reduce your lifespan by 10 years, start trading banknifty on expiry day.
Carry shorts.
Carry longs.
But don't carry the fear.
We are not sad.
We are just turning old.
We hated sleeping in the afternoon when we were kids.

Doing the same is luxury now.
As you age, you love peace more than noise.

You start to accept simple over fancy.
There is something called "illusion of making progress".

I used to do a lot of unnecessary things and call it progress. While it was just killing time.

Now I do much less than I used to, but 100x more productive than before.

Key is clarity of destination.
Learn to cross paths with past without looking at it.
Age 12: Legos
Age 24: Algos
When we say trading is a risky business and one has to accept the risk while trading. It doesn't mean you have to jump in without a plan and lose 100% of your capital and call that risk of doing business.

That is called being born stupid.
Treat people less than they deserve. Or they will act more than they're worth.
I meditate for 10 minutes one day and it keeps me up for a week. No wonder people who meditate everyday are doing so great.
I stopped talking, thinking & hearing shit. And you can't imagine the peace I have.
The most difficult urge to control is to spend more. As a human earns more, he spends more. Now, one thing to understand here is upgrading your lifestyle is easy as the earning increases. But downgrading it is almost impossible as the earnings go down in hard times. (1/2)
Staying low-key and saving/investing is the only solution. It might affect your current lifestyle but will make sure that even a year of lockdown doesn't affect your living. (2/2)
Why are we sad, hurt, depressed, unhappy?

Because we expect the best to happen and nothing close to it does, atleast immediately.

(1/2)
Possible solution: make peace with the worst case scenario and consistently remind yourself that things can go wrong at any moment. When reality check hits, clarity appears.
