An accusation people love directing at Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex...
BUT
A few days ago I made a post about a designer not including a certain dress as part of her posts about the capsule she did for #007.
Someone commented that the designer was not allowed to post about Kate as per protocol, that was quickly disproven and made clear that that falsity was put in place only for Meghan as designers have long shared when their items are worn by royals: fashion is a very lucrative
in that world. I also made sure to specify I was on about the dress itself not the person because other promotion for the movie was and all dresses including the dress in question.
So why did the designer conveniently leave out that particular dress when all others were shared
via her nstagram? Answer: a clear case of a 3-way contractual advertising scheme.
I'll not share the publication's headline but will share their merching tactic because it is clear that when tabloids can't benefit from sales they'll
accuse others of doing so. For example, the UK media tried it with the Duchess Meghan and their weird obsession of overpricing her clothes and jewelry, you will also note how they underprice Kate's most likely because their cut has already been decided. I guess for them they see
Meghan as a means of preventing their profiting and therefore rely on their tired trop of her 'outrageous' spending of HER money. That's sad huh?
I originally I thought they made the rule up for Meghan because they did not want her selling power on full display but really it
was more the case of perhaps the designer who did post about her items worn by Meghan never went through the palace so that the tabloids could profit (pre-royal Meghan already owned the items). The tabloids weren't amused hence why Buckingham Palace warned the designer to stop.
So there it is more of the invisible contract and how royals make sure to keep the pockets of the tabloids full but guess what? Even through this means the item did not sell out. The publication posted the ad for the dress yesterday and the stock has not changed as of the
posting of this thread. To add to that the designer has still not posted the dress to her Instagram.
I always knew the palace and papers had a deal when it came to royal fashion hence why so many of those fashion blogs and website can ID things so quickly.
I guess this isn't
any surprise but rather another door opened into ways companies maintain their position of being linked to royals; this way they continue their delusions that the royal brand has selling power...
I should mention this practice is as old as time where I come in is with how
they want to continue to other Duchess Meghan while carrying out their own nefarious money grabbing scams.
Now that we know designers are given advertisement at discount prices and that the DF creates campaign links for profit, it once again confirms why clicks of any
kind are a big no-no.
Note: the DF screen shots were provided to me from a very lovely individual and well I have time today π.
If you like whatever Duchess Meghan has on either go directly to the designer's website, socials, distributors, or Google. NOT the tabloids.
Dear white women who pick up their pens after actively participating in the abuse toward a vulnerable woman, a pregnant woman, a new mum, a woman of colour for your own personal benefit and financial gain,
You donβt get to do this
You don't get to write a wall of nonsense after four years of laughing, participating, humiliating, and endangering the life of a woman you've never met, has done nothing to you personally, and never deserved your ill will.
You don't get to write a bullshit apology and pretend
that all is well in the world because now you have something to promote. All is not well in Meghan's world, she still has many of your types watching and hounding her. You've made a sport of harassing her. And for what? Fun? Entertainment? You know how racist that is?
