Marvel Galveston Williams, 01/09/1988
IN CUSTODY on PC Murder and Riot
One of 4 names we were given allegedly related to the #DTMpls mayhem/homicide last night.
Chronic offender on parole for weapons.
19 prior convictions including 8 felonies. Previously charged w/murder.
Three prior convictions for felon in possession of a firearm. He should have been put away for life long ago.
Marvel Williams has at least three prior convictions for being a felon in possession of a firearm (in addition to numerous other felonies).
He was just charged AGAIN in May with being a felon in possession, plus drug charges. He was granted bail.
End bail for repeat offenders.
Prior media on this gem (2012)
.
.
The 36-hr hold on the murder & riot charges has expired (charges can still be filed in the future).
However, Marvel Galvaston Williams is being held on a MNDOC hold (likely parole violation hold) & his bail on the pending case for felon in possession/drugs has been upped to $1M.

South Minneapolis - Overnight before 5 a.m., DOUBLE SHOOTING at the encampment. People shot in their heads. CPR on at least one, later pronounced deceased.
Corresponding Shotspotter activation.
Suspect: Native Mob gang member in a Jeep Cherokee, 30s, all red clothing, skinny
25xx 17th Ave S
But @MplsWard9 Jason Chavez and @MplsWard12 Aurin Chowdhury want to give people at drug encampments preferred status and make it harder to remove encampments.
3/ Pics from the scene of the double shooting at a south Minneapolis encampment this morning, where one died.
This is how #MNmedia misleads you on crime statistics. Although the Geriatric Neighbor was doing a report on juvenile auto theft and how the current system isn't working to deter it, they quoted Hennepin County auto thefts this year at 475.
But they didn't tell you that DOESN'T include Minneapolis, which is sitting at 4300 auto thefts so far this year. It's a stunning number. Why won't they tell you?
2/ In fact, looking at this closer, the number @UbahDAli and @WCCO listed in the screenshot above is NOT the number of auto thefts, but is the number only being PROSECUTED so far this year. So, COMPLETELY WRONG INFORMATION.
WCCO needs to do a retraction.
3/ So some editor/producer at lying @WCCO is so out of touch & lazy that they actually thought 475 auto thefts sounded like an accurate number, when there's been nothing but talk (here on Crime Watch, at least) about out of control auto thefts.
Downtown Minneapolis - STABBING at Bolero Flats, 21st floor. One reportedly stabbed in the neck and back.
1117 Marquette Ave
21:03
Police arrived and are being told the person who is stabbed is nude and possibly running down Marquette.
Now he's in a parking ramp on 12th.
Now police say the person stabbed is up in the apartment. They're still checking for the naked male.
2/ Police are now separately with the naked male in the parking ramp at 117 12th St. The party said he is also stabbed and police see cuts on him.
21:10
3/ Police say the two stabbing incidents are related.
Uh, newsflash, birdcage liner, you crossed that bridge long ago.
.
2/ Birdcage liner has historically turned off public comments on every single important story where the public seeks to weigh in, not the least of which are crime and public safety related stories.
3/ One of birdcage liner's new contributors, Sharon McMahon, is described as a "non-partisan" explainer of government (pic 1).
(pic 2) Also, Sharon McMahon fawning over stolen valor Tim Walz this week and giving him an uncritical platform to spew his BS.
In today's laughable headlines from Tim Walz's PR department in Minnesota:
.
2/ If we have anything to say about it, the world will find out what everyone in Minnesota knows about Tim Walz and his abject failures that #MNmedia won't tell you.
3/ By the way @StarTribune and Steve @grove, your website "redesign" 🤡 looks like it was done by a 5-year-old.
Are you trying to make Walz look even fatter than he is???
NEW only on Crime Watch: We've obtained a copy of an internal email issued from Metro Transit GM Lesley Kandaras stating Metro Transit Police Chief Ernest Morales is "on leave," after being on the job just over a year. Captain Joseph Dotseth will be covering in his absence.
Crime Watch exclusively told you a few weeks ago that Morales was apparently being considered for a new police chief job in Austin, TX.
We're also working to gather information some other rumors surrounding this leave and whether there are other circumstances involved. Stay tuned.
Minneapolis St. Paul Minnesota Twin Cities
2/ Our prior post on Morales being considered for Austin, TX police chief.
3/ Re: Metro Transit Police Chief Ernest Morales being placed on leave, we've had some more info trickle in suggesting some possible problematic incidents may have occurred recently.
@MetroTransitMN and the @MetCouncilNews are NOT transparent orgs, so official info will likely be slow in coming (if ever), but we will keep working to verify the info we've received.
