Currently wanted on at least two warrants. One is an assault case from 2022, the other is a civil mental health case where Sawchak was deemed "mentally ill and dangerous."

A police report was made in March in a separate assault case with another neighbor. Formal charges have yet to be filed because Mary Moriarty's office declined to charge a felony. Now the city attorney will review for possible lesser charges.

The same victim has had numerous run-ins with Sawchak as evidenced by the pile of MPD blue cards they've collected.

South Minneapolis - A caravan of illegally parked vehicles have gathered on Dean Parkway along with about 300 people. Park Police say they are preparing begin some kind of rolling demonstration/protest, but they won't tell police what it's about or where they're going.

There is a squatter camp near my house 1/2 block away. These squatters are inhabiting city owned land for 6 weeks. There has been a rash in petty thefts in the area. Lots of new cars in neighborhood that have 2 min conversations with campers (drug runs??). Enablers bring food and basic supplies to camp. There are building permanent structures. There a every growing trash pile and stolen shopping carts. The trash piles are growing and starting to block a fire hydrant.

Mohamad Barakat's vehicle.

North Dakota Atty General Drew Wrigley said it was "happenstance" that Barakat was at the same location of the crash when he "ambushed" the officers.

Finally booked. Charges are expected in the death of five young women in the horrific Friday crash on Lake Street, possibly as soon as Tuesday. 2/
