Passing out parade of of 144th PMA Long Course, 63rd IC (Integrated Course), 33rd TGC (Technical Graduate Course), 3rd BMTC (Basic Military Training Course) and 18th LCC (Lady Cadets Course) was held at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Abbottabad.
Battalion Senior Under Officer (BSUO) Usman Anwar Baloch from Nushki, Balochistan won the coveted "Sword of Honor" from Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in 144th PMA Long Course.

Congratulations to 2nd Lieutenant Usman for joining the profession of arms — Pakistan Army.
Trainees from Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka were also among the graduating cadets during the passing out parade at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA).

Captain Sikandar Suhail has embraced shahadat last night during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) against TTP in Tank, KP. He was from Frontier Corps KP.

Captain Sikandar Sohail belonged to 134 PMA Long Course and was coursemate of Lieutenant Khawar Shahab Shaheed, Captain Umar Shaheed and Captain Basit Ali Shaheed.

These archaeological sites located at Takhtbai, Mardan are 1st Century CE old. These are ruins of Buddhists and the region was known as Gandhara. After 7th Century BC, Buddhist sites of Gandhara region were attacked & destroyed by Huns, but this site remained safe.
The region was subjugated by Huns in middle of fifth century CE which ended the Kushan rule (Kushan Empire). Huns slaughtered the inhabitants of the Gandhara region and destroyed most if not all Buddhist monasteries.
Evidence suggests that Takhtbai was destroyed in the same period of destruction by the Huns, however the complex appears to have been in use until 7th century CE.

Few days back, we were traveling to a tourist location of northern areas of KP. From a bus plying ahead of our vehicle, passengers were continously throwing wrappers of eatables from both side windows. This continued for 10 minutes & our driver who was illiterate but a...
...gentleman said, "kia jahil log he iss bus main, itni bhi tamiz nahi k kachra apne pas rakhe aur road pr na phenke". Later, we stopped at a local hotel for Namaz and that bus was also parked there. To my surprise, those passengers weren't ordinary people but "literate"...
...students. I asked one of them about their university and again to my surprise they all belonged to a renowned university of Islamabad and were on tour to northern areas alongwith their faculty. :)

Do you know, locals from Waziristan used to give information about drone targets (exact location & time) to CIA for money. CIA never knew about exact location of their targets. Locals like Mohsin Dawar (supporters of drones) worked with CIA for money. Truth be known!
The killing of TTP terrorists in drone attacks in areas where even Pakistan Army had zero presence was not a miracle. Drones need on ground target identification & tracking. The same identification & tracking was provided by non other than the locals of Waziristan themselves.
You must have seen killing of TTP high value targets in drones attacks in far flung areas of Waziristan where it was impossible for CIA to locate those targets. Even Pakistan Army reached those area after large scale operations. But still CIA was...
