N-acetylcysteine (NAC), a precursor of the antioxidant glutathione, has been used to loosen thick mucus in the lungs and treat acetaminophen overdose for decades. However, NAC can also boost the immune system, suppress viral replication, and reduce inflammation.
With recent revelations of the efficacy of NAC in possibly treating and being highly effective as a component in drastically improving immune health, the FDA has decided to ban its sale as a supplement. ... NAC is an essential amino acid, we must consume it via supplementation
N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) comes from the amino acid L-cysteine. It's been available in dietary supplements for decades. But now the FDA is warning companies that it cannot be legally included in supplements.
N-acetylcysteine as a potential treatment for novel coronavirus disease 2019
We propose N-acetylcysteine (NAC) as a potential treatment, preventive and/or adjuvant against SARS-CoV-2.
Honour a physician with the honour due unto him for the uses which ye may have of him: for the Lord hath created him.
2 For of the most High cometh healing, and he shall receive honour of the king.
3skill of the physician shall lift up his head: and in the sight of great men he shall be in admiration.
4The Lord hath created medicines out of the earth; and he that is wise will not abhor them.
5Was not the water made sweet with wood, that the virtue thereof might be known?
6 And he hath given men skill, that he might be honoured in his marvellous works.
7 With such doth he heal men, and taketh away their pains.
8 Of such doth the apothecary make a confection; and of his works there is no end; and from him is peace over all the earth
We have seen already that “all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted” 1Tim 3.12; and that Christians should “count it all joy”when they “meet various trials” (Jas 1.2), “rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name”Acts 5.41
We have also seen that those who suffer through sickness and disease with every virtue of Christ will receive “sufficient grace” from God to be strong in the Lord in their bodily weakness, and so direct their sufferings “not unto death”but to the “glory of God”2Cor 12.7–10,Jn 11.4
Since therefore Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same thought, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live for the rest of time in the flesh no longer by human passions, but by the will of God
