Turning his sights on Evers, Gableman in new video makes election allegations without offering evidence jsonline.com/story/news/pol…
Gableman is going after @GovEvers for comments the governor made nearly two weeks ago.
Gableman is putting attention on Evers after facing criticism from the left and right for subpoenaing election officials and then walking back those subpoenas.
Gableman: "If the governor believes that it has been proven the election was conducted flawlessly, then he is completely ignorant to the concerns of Wisconsin voters who have great concerns regarding the sanctity and security of their vote.”
Gableman, con’t: “I would like to ask Tony Evers how is it a boondoggle for the people of Wisconsin to find out if their elections were run fairly? What's the alternative? The alternative is looking the other way.”
Gableman said he had "compelling evidence that Wisconsin's elections laws were not properly followed by election officials at both the state and local levels."
He did not provide any of that evidence.
Also of note: Gableman in his Friday interview with @DanODonnellShow criticized the Arizona audit review.
Gableman in August visited the Arizona audit review.
“What they did (in Arizona) was ineffective at best, crazy at worst," Gableman said. "There were good people. That guy, the CEO of Cyber Ninjas, Doug Logan — I’ve heard universally good things about him — but he was just given an impossible task.”
Gableman, on why he believes the Arizona ballot review was ineffective:
“There was no independent government actor such as I am to guide the investigation."
Last week, Gableman faced criticism after he said, "Most people, myself included, do not have a comprehensive understanding or even any understanding of how elections work."
In his Friday interview with O’Donnell, he repeated that sentiment.
"What I say, because it's true, is that I like most people do not have a comprehensive understanding of how the mechanics of an election work," he said.

AG @JoshKaulWI tells reporters there are several flaws with former Justice Michael Gableman's subpoenas to election officials.
He says lawmakers are purporting to act as prosecutors, which they are not allowed to do.
@JoshKaulWI Kaul says Gableman can't interview officials in private, as he has suggested he would. Kaul says Gableman has to conduct interviews in front of the Assembly Elections Committee.
Kaul calls the subpoenas "dramatically overbroad."
@JoshKaulWI Kaul says Gableman's investigation is not serious and consists of glaring flaws.
Top Assembly Republican Robin Vos is leaving it to an investigator to decide on subpoenas for the election investigation jsonline.com/story/news/pol…
.@repvos says:
— won’t sign @RepJanel’s subpoenas; will let Gableman come up with his own
— will let Gableman choose investigators and “cyberforensic” team
— scope of investigation is being finalized
— will spend up to $680K in taxpayer funds; won’t allow use of private funds
Like other Republicans, Vos has not spelled out yet what a “cyberforensic” audit would consist of.
It’s a term advocates of an Arizona-style review have used. Vos says every state is different and Wisconsin’s probe could look different.
.@JonErpenbach said lawmakers were planning to put $350 million into a “Republican slush fund.”
GOP cochairs: “These investments are above and beyond the billions in federal funding our school districts are receiving and highlight our continued commitment to our students, teachers, and parents.”
Sen. @JonErpenbach tells Republicans they are shaming people by referring to the Medicaid program BadgerCare Plus as welfare.
@repborn shoots back: "This is basic English words that are used to define these programs. ... I will tell it like it is and that is what this is."
Expanding Medicaid would boost Wisconsin's budget by $1.6 billion over two years because the federal government would pay for more of the state's health-care costs.
Born says Republicans who control the Legislature won't accept "a billion-dollar bribe."
