"Public" dollars that can be used at private institutions:

• Pell Grants / GI Bill
• Pre-K programs
• Food stamps
• Medicaid
• Section 8
• Social Security
many of the same people who support funding individuals instead of institutions in every other industry (and level of education) oppose it only when it comes to the in-between years of K-12

NEW: School choice supporter Jon Dunwell (R) won the special election for Iowa House District 29.

This victory represents an increase in support of funding students instead of systems in the Iowa House, as the district was previously held by an opponent.
"According to unofficial results, Dunwell earned 60% of the vote"

Republicans now hold a 60-40 majority in the Iowa House.
