Choose kind ❤️
I was standing in line at Coop to pay for groceries and the gentleman behind me was asking about all the pumpkins I was buying. I said it’s for my students in my class to use next week for math and art. He proceeded to give me $20 and refused to take it back 1/
Explaining his wife taught for over 20 years, and he knows how much teachers pay out of pocket for their students. To experience so much kindness in a time, that quite frankly has been the hardest in my career. I thanked him multiple times, holding back tears. 2/
Said I would put it towards the kiddos. He smiled and said he can’t imagine what life for an educator is like right now and to use it for me. That amazing act, made my week and I will pay it forward. That act of kindness….I will never forget him. /fin #choosekind
