The #Dodgers last week concluded one of the most thrilling 5-game series in MLB history against their rivals in a winner-take-all clash in San Francisco, hopped on a cross-country flight to Atlanta on Friday & dug themselves a hole over the weekend.

“We’re tired,” utility man Chris Taylor said in the wake of Sunday’s 5-4 loss in Game 2. “We’re ready to get home.”

The Dodgers still can win this #NLCS.

If only Andrew Friedman and his cohorts can avoid overthinking again.

The predicament in which the Dodgers find themselves now is a direct result of what the front office did in Game 5 of the NLDS against Giants.

Dave Roberts knew there “could be a cost” to having Max Scherzer close Game 5 of the #NLDS last Thursday.

The decision to use 20-game winner Julio Urías in the eighth inning Sunday night also came with a potential price.

Roberts was asked how he would respond to the perception, built over several Octobers, that the Dodgers tend to overthink and almost outsmart themselves with their postseason pitching decisions.

If Atlanta topples the #Dodgers twice more in, if they pull off the upset and knock out the reigning World Series champions, Roberts’ decision-making late in Game 2 will be dissected on bar stools for years to come.
