Update on Matt Gaetz — his buddy Joel Greenberg has had so much dirt that prosecutors have opened up entire new wings of their case. The investigation into financial crimes now includes help from Secret Service agents. There’s something HUGE here.
Did Greenberg have information on Matt Gaetz trying to buy himself a pardon from Donald Trump? Is that why the Secret Service is now involved in the investigation?
Greenberg appears to have given the feds information about crimes totally beyond the scope of the original indictment of Greenberg — so the entire matter has snowballed.

And if they haven’t indicted Gaetz yet, it may be because the new material also implicates Gaetz.

BREAKING - Trump and his team knew there was no factual basis for any claim of election fraud — we know that now.

In this video from last night Trump admits to pressuring Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp.

All evidence of criminal election tampering.

Trump’s call to pressure Kemp was on December 5, 2020 and was reported at the time — but the reports came from leaks to reporters. See link below.

Now we have Trump admitting this misconduct at the rally last night.

We also have the recorded call where Trump pressured Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger: “I just want to find 11,780 votes.”

Not: “I think there were irregularities.”

We know what “find” means. It means he KNEW there were no irregularities and was ASKING for fraud.

BREAKING - Bennie Thompson, chair of the House Select Committee on January 6, indicates he’s ready to push for enforcement of the committee’s subpoenas — including holding people in contempt of Congress.
There are at least 3 options for enforcement or contempt:

1) sergeant-at-arms of House sends officers to arrest the person

2) refer matter to DOJ, which would send FBI agents arrest the person

3) file action in federal court to get court order, enforceable by US Marshals
Option 1 is considered “inherent contempt” - an inherent power of Congress. But it hasn’t been done since 1935.

Option 2 would mean Biden has to step up and show he means business.

Option 3 is a bad idea in my view, inviting an unwarranted court battle.

UPDATE:
1/ Here is the Memorandum on FBI background checks of nominees from 2010. The FBI has cited this as limiting their ability to vet Kavanaugh. This is not 100% accurate. The Memo is silent on how extensive the vetting should be. The president then may request more. ImageImageImageImage
2/ Here are the other 2 pages of the FBI MOU. These are screenshots I took from the publicly available court filing on PACER. ImageImage
3/ The FBI cannot really duck behind this Memo. They could have conducted a more comprehensive background check of Kavanaugh without seeking additional approval from the White House, at least pursuant to this Memo.

The FBI claims it could not investigate Kavanaugh because of a Memo of Understanding (MOU) with the White House on SCOTUS nominees.

The Guardian reviewed the MOU - and it does *not* limit the FBI *unless* the White House orders them to limit their investigation.
The Guardian piece is below. Trying to get my hands on this MOU to read it myself. If you have it and are willing to share, please DM me.

So it would appear that someone at the White House ordered the FBI to limit its investigation into Brett Kavanaugh.

This still raises questions on whether the FBI did everything it could to follow up on the 4500 tips it received.

But it may be that Trump ordered them not to.

Second witness: Donald Trump.

Expected questions:
-- Why did you free Taliban leader Baradar in 2018?
-- Why did you free 5000 Taliban fighters in Nov 2020?
-- Why didn't you anything when Putin put bounties on our troops in Afghanistan?
If Pompeo and Trump refuse to appear, then they'll be showing America they're cowards and chickens who can't and won't explain what they did and why. 🐓🐓
More questions:
-- Why did the Trump Administration negotiate an unnecessary cease-fire with the Taliban during the 2020 election, giving the Taliban a respite and chance to regroup?
-- Why do the Russians have a security arrangement with the Taliban to protect their embassy?
