Is it possible to acknowledge that gay representation in the MCU is long overdue and to also hate this
People who hate me like to assume I am a MCU superfan because Wanda Maximoff is my avatar but it is a very love-hate relationship
I am glad there is a gay superhero now I guess but the idea that people should applaud for finally bothering to get around to representation in *2021* is ridiculous
When you're 13 years and 26 films into a media franchise and you finally add an explicitly gay character that has a name and appears in more than one scene

My pet theory is that Havana Syndrome is burnout. Image

Stress reactions are real, all these people work stressful jobs in stressful places, and many of these agencies are chronically underfunded and/or understaffed.

The unspoken secret is that all regional fast food chains are just okay
Everyone thinks their chain is the exception, it isn't
The difference is most people don't claim the national chains are good food, people absolutely try to say their regional terrible burger is somehow better than everyone else's terrible burger

I can't see any scenario where Gabby isn't dead.
Absolute least-guilty scenario for Brian that I can come up with is they were hiking, she started hitting him for whatever reason (she admits in the police encounter to hitting him), they're near one of the cliff edges they take photographs on, he pushes her away, and she falls.
He panics and runs, leaving her either already dead or to die.

And that is the absolute best case scenario for him. Worst is that he murdered her, hid her body, and figured that if he just never talks, they'll never find her body or the weapon and he gets away with it.

A story that haunts me about 9/11 is how all but 13 of Morgan Stanley's approximately 2,700 employees made it out of the South Tower alive because their head of security over rode the NYC Port Authority's instructions and started evacuating immediately.
Rick Rescorla was born in Cornwall and fought for both the UK and US militaries, most famously in the battle of Ia Drang in Vietnam, of We Were Soldiers fame. He was awarded a Silver Star and two Bronze Stars.
Rescorla left active duty, went to law school and ended up working as head of security for Dean Witter (which later merged with Morgan Stanley) in their World Trade Center offices. When the World Trade Center was bombed in 1993 he was the last person out of the building.

Reading a fanfic that I am enjoying for free and becoming unreasonably annoyed when the unpaid author incorrectly writes that the north star is the brightest star in the sky
I once tried to read a book that was supposed to be a satirical take on the military and politice and in one of the first chapters a character couldn't start a humvee because they didn't have the keys and I was so irrationally irritated I never finished it.

I got flagged for ABCP once.

I had just stopped breastfeeding my twins, so that 1000 calorie deficit I had every day went away, and my body was still adjusting.

I passed my APFT still (this was years ago) but was one percent over body fat.
I think Height and Weight are frustrating for a lot of soldiers because it's a tool that's used like a sledgehammer when individual soldier circumstances vary. People go on and off medications, they're trying to gain muscle to improve ACFT scores, etc.
I lost my promotable status. It was pretty humiliating. I went to an Army nutritionist who gave me "expert" advice like "when you eat pizza try to get pizza with veggies on it"
