Here in Sweden, black licorice is a popular flavor! It comes in versions like sweet, salty, extra salty, and pure ammonium chloride. It's extremely divisive - most people either love or hate it.
1 ep in, really loving how they lean into the genre of PIRATES. Everything is very PIRATES! Also appreciate that they start with an intro to Pirate Finances & Terms of Employment. Important considerations! Also: tits. But OK bc f/f!
Ep 2 #NayeSails: Action! So much action! So many moving pieces! Lots of very smart, very desperate characters. Lots of full frontal to prove this is an ADULT pirate show, so there. As I've got a couple of decades of One Piece in my heart, the "Pirate King" thing makes me giggle.
#NayeSails #3: Well that sure was an episode of T&A & sexual assault. π¬ (Don't worry, I've been warned.) Am getting very curious about the various characters' interpersonal relationships. There's a LOT going on, and I do love that. Pirate politics!
I am saying this as someone who was there through for the C&D letters, and the strikethroughs, and everything else. If TPTB wanted to crush AO3, $1.5 mil is not going to stop them. They have a budget for legal stuff. This is what it is. $2,500. In 2020 they spent $0.
And the reason I'm even tweeting about this is because I care about AO3. If I didn't, I'd just shrug and move on, but I want it to exist. And I want it to become a better, more robust, and less racist platform for everyone. I don't want them to just maintain the status quo.
