Again an airstrike by the Ethiopian Air Force has hit Mekelle. This airstrike hit agricultural land next to the Mekelle University Arid Campus (13.479489, 39.488817) at around 13.475833, 39.492222. As a result of the strike, a UN plane aborted its landing.
Video shows crops burning after being bombed by the Ethiopian Air Force.
According to Reuters the government says that they targeted a “base formerly belonging to the Ethiopian military and now being used by rebellious Tigrayan forces as a training site in the regional capital Mekelle.” Which is… not true.
The Northern Command HQ is ~1KM away at 13.483354, 39.507978 and may have been the target, which would meld with the government’s claim. Though if it was, that demonstrates absolutely horrendous accuracy.
Good pic for reference on where this bundle burnt down. Building in the background is at 13.479489, 39.488817.

Breaking: airstrikes again reported from Mekelle. Video has been shot showing a jet flying away at high altitude while someone tries to hit it with a heavy machine gun
So far there is no footage showing any bomb impacts. Should it come, we will post it.
No footage of any airstrike has come forward. It appears that this jet was unable to strike its target because of ground fire. We will continue to monitor the situation.
For the second day in a row the Ethiopian Air Force has conducted airstrikes in Mekelle. This time they targeted an industrial compound apparently containing tires at 13.50578943,39.48589882 on the eastern side of the city. earth.google.com/web/@13.505790…
Several people were wounded as a result of the strike. Both from the initial strike and from smoke inhalation/burns.
The compound is owned by Mesfin Industrial Engineering PLC, which is, as you can tell by the name, involved in in industrial efforts in Tigray. Their website is mie.com.et, which appears to be nonresponsive.
Extremely violent clashes continue around Gashena as the ENDF+ARSF attempt to take the town. Meanwhile, the offensive towards Mersa has failed, with the TDF launching a counteroffensive which took ground in Afar as well as making gains in the mountains south of Mersa.
This picture was misappropriated as being TDF fighters in Chifra. While we have many reports of the TDF taking Chifra, this picture is from a pro-government Facebook user. As it stands, there is no visual proof that the TDF took Chifra. Apologies for any confusion.
There has been many ENDF prisoners taken in recent combat, with two armored vehicles (T-62 and WZ-551) being captured. The ENDF + ARSF have not posted any pictures yet from their perspective.
Heavy fighting continues around Gashena all night, with the situation in the countryside being fluid.
The TDF has taken up positions in the hills around Wurgesa and Wichale, as well as apparently taking Chifra in Afar, but that has not been visually confirmed.
No gains at Mersa.
Situation around Sekota is unclear, with various reports of fighting and various denials of fighting. Really no way to tell right now unless an official source announces something.
ENDF offensive seems to be progressing slowly around Gashena, but doing rather poorly around Mersa. Still in the process of verifying some POW footage of ENDF troops, but fighting has apparently left many casualties on both sides throughout the past week.
Dozens are seeking abortions, medical care and psychological support in overwhelmed hospitals, many of which have been destroyed.....Thousands more are thought to be suffering in silence as they fear reprisals by security forces and rejection from their families
One video, which was widely circulated on social media and has been verified by the Telegraph, shows a surgeon in Adigrat hospital removing long nails and pieces of plastic from the vagina of one woman after she was raped and tortured.
