"Manslaughter" is trending because Alec Baldwin, on the set of Rust, accidentally fired improperly loaded blanks at his DP, Halyna Hutchins, and director, Joel Souza
As usual, the "experts" on Twitter have NO fucking idea what they're talking about. Lemme explain why you're dumb:
For the love of GOD would Twitter stop talking about shit they know nothing about like they're fucking experts? This isn't the type of thing you chime in on without knowing what happened, someone fucking died here and all ya'll can do is drink the tea because a celeb was involved
Just found out that people are trying to say Alec Baldwin is responsible for at least manslaughter, if not murder, in this incident because of
Wait for it
Politics! A woman just died but these brainrotten fuckheads can only think of politics right now.
FUCK this place.
Because Alec Baldwin is on the other side of the isle from them, the experts here on Twitter have decided they're both detectives AND production safety coordinators and are qualified to make judgements on this case, despite there being NO evidence of wrongdoing on Baldwin's part.
Ban Politics 2022 fuck these people so much think about literally ANYTHING but fucking politics for 10 fucking seconds for once in your entire God damn lives.
Update: He kinda a lil bit do be ignoring safety protocols 👀
@nytimes Thread:
There's a few things ppl in the comments seem to be unclear on, and it's leading them to say very disrespectful things, intentionally or not.
1: Actors are NOT supposed to check the gun. In fact, they're not supposed to do ANYTHING with the gun unless directed to.
@nytimes Would you rather have an actor with literally 0 firearms experience check the gun, or a firearms expert? Thought so.
2: This was likely supposed to be a closeup in which Baldwin would fire just to the side of the camera, which would be where the DP and Director would be sitting.
@nytimes That's how you get "fire into the camera" shots.
3: Blanks ARE DANGEROUS. Prop guns ARE GUNS. ANYTHING with that much explosive powder is dangerous. If any tiny pieces of shrapnel get in or are left in the chamber, those effectively become bullets, and they do NOT fly straight.
Dave Chappelle has lost his edge, imo. He spends just as much time complaining about not being able to make jokes in his newer specials like The Closer as he does actually making jokes. #NetflixWalkout is a reaction to an inability to empathize with other people's struggles.
One of the last good comedians of the shock-humor oldguard has creatively stagnated and is blaming society for their changing tastes and not his own inability to improve. Like most other shock comedians from his time, the result is a backslide into complaint-based "vent comedy."
It's a shame because he was always a head and shoulders over his peers.
What's sadder than the world outgrowing a talented comedian is that comedian blame the world for it.
