Upon reaching the 6 month milestone, #MisiónLatinaLuterana (@ELCA, #spselca) we have been highlighting our impact in the community. 🧵1/

We spoke about the importance of making sacraments accesible, of honoring traditions —such as quinceañeras— and to provide opportunities for access to health via vaccination clinics on-site.

It all comes down to providing VISIBILITY

Along our allies from various community organizations we have been able to help many families in California’s Central Valley

Along @FaithinValley we were able to obtain monetary help for many families

More than 1.2 million dollars helped more than a thousand families in the Central Valley

Working along @ElConcilioCA we have been able to organize and host 4 COVID-19 vaccination clinics (with 2 more on the way)
This is an important achievement for the health and well-being of our community

Besides testing and vaccination, these events have provided additional aid such as food, health information, and employment opportunities

Our efforts on education, promotion, and support of #vaccination have been featured in local TV news, both in English and Spanish

Additionally we have participated in multiple events, marches, & pro-#immigration lobbying opportunities at the local and national level
