I've found that anyone can fix their life, no matter how far gone it seems.

Except for 1 type of person.

If you have a combination of traits that I call "The Scumbag Trifecta", then you are lost and will sink to the bottom of humanity.

What are those traits?
1) No self-awareness

I can tell you that you're wrong and acting stupid until I'm blue in the face and you're blue in the ears from listening...

But if you don't know that you're doing something stupid until you deal with the consequences, you're gonna hurt for a long time.
2) Laziness

Humans prefer to do things the easy way. This is fine some of the time, but eventually, you gotta do more than the minimum.

If this is you, you're gonna hurt for a long time because life doesn't get easier unless you get better.

And that means doing hard shit.
3) You think you know it all

Some people treat constructive criticism like background noise. Or worse, they view it as an outright attack.

Therefore, you can never get through to them to help them realize the error of their ways.

As a result, they hurt for a *very* long time.
By themselves, these are annoying personality flaws, but not a death sentence.

Even if you have 2 of the 3, there's still hope.

But if you have all 3, you're done. You will do dumb shit, be too lazy to fix your mistakes, and be too ignorant to listen to anyone who knows better.
Hopefully, this isn't you.

If it is, sign up for my newsletter so that you can get right.

Even if you don't have these problems, you should still sign up. Maybe you can help someone else.

How to be more likable—without being nicer.

The best way to be likable is to not try to make people like you. It’s cliche, but be yourself.

This doesn’t mean being an asshole, but don’t change your fundamental interests, hobbies, and mannerisms to appeal to the masses.
Don’t worry about what other people think of you.

This isn’t the same thing as not caring about how you present yourself to the world.

The former is the benefit of focusing on the process of living. The latter is the consequence of obsessing over the outcome you can't control.
Good manners go a long way

If you can treat people well when they don’t deserve it, you can make a bad situation good and a good situation great.

Or put differently, good manners never made a situation worse.

How I made almost $100K in one single product launch with a product I didn't create.

And 5 lessons I learned during the launch that anyone can use.

\thread
My buddy @OneJKMolina and I launched a Twitter course called “The Templates.”

It was a simple concept with a big promise.

We supplied you with high-performing tweet structures.

And all you have to do is plug in your own words to see the magic happen.
I’ve been part of many launches.

But I’ve never sold 690 units in one week.

We only promoted on Twitter and our mailing list.

No paid ads. No Instagram. No shoutouts.

I’ve developed my writing skills over the past 6 years via a combination of college research, social media growth, and sales copy that’s earned me over 1 million dollars.

On August 19th at 8:00 p.m., I’m putting on a 1-hour seminar to teach how to do the same.

I will teach you:
The common errors that ruin the engagement of your writing.

If you’re doing any of these fairly common things, your writing won’t be read. If it’s not read, you can’t make money from it.
How to use social media without it using you.

The problem most people have is that they get caught up in arguing.

I will show you how to avoid the headaches that come with social media and still have fun.

5 simple strategies anyone can use to overcome unwanted bad habits like smoking, drinking, or watching porn...even if you’ve already tried and failed 1000 times.

(A thread on how I successfully managed to quit alcohol and porn after YEARS of trying and failing)
My bad habits used to cause 90% of my problems.

Despite KNOWING this, I struggled to give them up for years.

I’m grateful for the struggle because it forced me to understand the problem.

Here are the best tips I discovered from years of trial and error (and eventual success).
#1. You must get out of your pleasure bias

Develop a healthy fear of what could go wrong.

Recognize that consequences are a real possibility.

I was terrified of getting myself or someone else killed while drunk. I was terrified of waking up in jail and losing my freedom.

How Quitting JUST TWO Bad Habits Changed My ENTIRE Life

(A thread on how I went from an alcoholic and porn addict stuck in the ghetto, to making something noteworthy of myself)
From the moment I started to suspect my drinking was negatively impacting my life, it took TWO MORE YEARS of regular binge drinking, pounding headaches, and ruined relationships before I made the commitment to get sober.

The “funny” thing was...
I was well aware that almost all my problems were either started or made worse by alcohol.

Despite this, I continued to get blackout drunk for years!

(Honestly, looking back, I’m embarrassed...but if your past behavior doesn’t make you cringe, have you really grown?)

I've been on Twitter for 4 years now,

Got over 148,000 followers,

And made hundreds of thousands of dollars on this platform.

Here are the 8 lessons that if I knew at the start, would've doubled those numbers:
1. Be timely

Some of my best tweets have been during crises

Why?

Because it's in everyone's heads

- The bitcoin dip
- The delta variant
- BLM
- Lockdowns
- Gamestop scandal

Share your opinion on relevant topics often.
2. Have inside jokes

I have two:

Black coffee and crackheads

These transcend your brand. They're bigger than you but can be traced back to you.

(Hint: This is why memes are so powerful)
