Many scientists and science journalists in the public eye continued to cast the lab origin hypothesis as a conspiracy theory and take EcoHealth/Daszak’s word without question for most of 2020+2021.
Away from the public eye, many many more scientists and journalists were discouraged from saying anything about a potential lab #OriginOfCovid - their entire career could go up in flames, their friends and family could think they were a 🌰
This is unacceptable.

I also call on all collaborators and funding agencies that have received communications and documents describing virus research related to EcoHealth or WIV to make these immediately public.
I can’t believe this, but here we are in Oct 2021, almost 2 years since SARS2 emerged in Wuhan, and there is no established whistleblower channel for people who know something to deposit information or documents related to the #OriginOfCovid
It’s completely bonkers. In 2019, would anyone have predicted that this is how poorly a pandemic’s origin would be traced?
Please, someone in charge, set up a credible, balanced, international investigation committee that whistleblowers can trust to handle intel related to the #OriginOfCovid
