Google in Russian “Yamal explosions” and you will see reports of dozens of places where methan exploded making huge crater shots. Scientists in Russia say there are about 1000 methane hills in Yamal, which can explode any time. thebarentsobserver.com/ru/klimatiches… 
Of course, Russian tv says there is nothing dangerous about these hills... Just some mentions of gas fields and pipelines nearby which can be harmed if methane field explodes nearby. But probably these gas exploration facilities contributed to methane explosions increase?
