2018: India surpassed China

2020: Total digital transactions by volume in India - 25 billion compared to 15 billion in China

2021: India will be ahead of China by 2 times.

There is much debate in certain sections around the phrase "Mother of Democracy" that Prime Minister Modi used to describe India as, during his recent USA visit.

A brief thread on democratic institutions in India much before Greeks in BC era and before Magna Carta in AD era. 1/5
More than 2500 years ago, almost 200 before the Greeks, Republic of Licchavis in present day Bihar was was governed by elected representatives in city assemblies. This elected assembly elected its own leaders and had a shared Constitution like code.

Or take the Buddhist institution of Sangha-a form of governing assembly.

Buddhists who used to follow the practice of discussion, debate & voting to make collective decisions and for a significant period of Indian history this was the norm. Much before anywhere in the world. 3/5

Rapid Taliban takeover of Afghanistan offers many lessons for India.

Although the situation is still fluid, yet the fact that Taliban has, at least for the foreseeable future, taken control and has at the same time amassed a group of global apologists does offer lessons. 1/10
First, oversized value that some place in India to every word spoken by Western press and Think Tanks must now be consigned to the dustbin.

The old regime and its acolytes behave as if our very existence depends on what some obscure non-entity writes about us in a rag sheet.2/10
An intern in a one-bathroom outfit somewhere in Scandinavia would rate our democracy and we go apocalyptic with self pity.

Here is what happened. #ModiSpeech

India's Vaccination policy from 16th Jan-30th April was progressing as per scientific advice.

But entire opposition demanded that States be given more purchasing powers.
@RahulGandhi, @AnandSharmaINC, @MamataOfficial & @ArvindKejriwal.

GOI, in tune with cooperative federalism spirit, and also because Health is primarily a state subject, liberalized vaccination administration from 1st May.

States could now directly but 25% of stocks.

Result - immediate U-turn by EXACT same Opposition. 2/5 #ModiSpeech
U-turns not limited to just decentralization process alone.

Multiple states announced FREE vaccination drive in all grandeur but then turned to GOI to get that promise fulfilled!

In reality, the Opposition states were JUST DOING abysmal and low-level politics. 3/5

What @ShashiTharoor has tried on Vaccine exports is not an aberration but typical of the entire atrocious approach of the Congress party.

One is constrained to use the word दोगलापन, for no other word can describe the actions of the Congress party. Consider the evidence. 1/5

#RahulGandhi press - says India vaccinated only 3%.

India's population -140Cr.

But ONLY 18+ eligible to be vaccinated NOT ALL

18+ population of India is approx 85 Cr

Almost 16 Cr given AT LEAST ONE DOSE; 4.24 Cr both doses.

That is 18.8% at least one dose; 5% BOTH doses.
#RahulGandhi press - says India's COVID-19 mortality numbers are lies.

India's COVID-19 death numbers CAN ONLY BE FALSE if CMs like @MamataOfficial, @OfficeofUT, @capt_amarinder, @bhupeshbaghel and others are LYING.

Because central numbers are just collation of state numbers.

The man, who has never won anything in his entire life based on his own merit, is even now only concerned about destroying Modi's image.

This very insightful video, with brilliant use of data, establishes with conclusive proof the following

1) Kumbh DID NOT cause second COVID-19 wave

2) Second wave predates election rallies

3) Farmer protests at Delhi borders was a SUPER SPREADER.

Graph from Jan 2021, of districts with more than 100 daily cases & positivity more than 15%, EACH establish the SAME thing:

Kerala & Maharashtra first, then Chhattisgarh & Punjab is where second wave originated and then spread over entire country.

End February 2021 cases started rising exponentially in Punjab and Haryana. NONE had Kumbh.

Only SUPER SPREADER gathering was the protests in the name of farmers.
