The GOP hasn’t had a glowing policy or economic record to run on in at least 60 years but they’ve still won the majority of the White vote for the last 56 because their record of unyielding White supremacy speaks for itself.
A lot of the White moderates/Alt-Lefties chastising Democrats for “not having a record to run on” are the same folk who create chronic legislative gridlock by either sitting out elections in protest or purposely voting GOP bc they think divided government is a wise check/balance.
Never forget that American media habitually provides cover for White supremacy and fascism by swooping in to sanitize the GOP’s Jim Crow propaganda as legitimate and substantive public policy. #SouthernStrategy101

*Programmed*. This is precisely why the GOP is stoking White fear of BLM/CRT/SEL & the 1619 Project, mocking Indigenous Peoples’ Day, fearmongering about “wokeness”, and banning books. They can’t risk losing White voters to the truth b/c it would mean losing their votes too.
Folk need to disabuse themselves of the notion that all we have to do is just wait for the Jim Crow generations to “die off”, bc White Gen-Z still shows NO signs of doing or being much better. The GOP zeroes in on schools bc incomplete/whitewashed history keeps them in business.

If anything good comes from this unmitigated disaster & international fucking embarrassment (part II) I hope it’s that folk who never bothered to understand how American government works or why they should give a damn about the social safety net finally learn it from losing it.
Every time I see an MSM clip of them sorrowfully (but unconvincingly) reporting these #TrumpLayoffs & agency closures/takeovers I roll my eyes damn near out of my head b/c WTF members of the press?! Stop pretending there was “no” way to predict this when Y’ALL fanned the flames.
Then there’s the FAFO folk who actually ordered the code red on their own selves b/c they’ve been terminally brainwashed by 60+ yrs of the GOP Southern Strategy to reflexively hate the federal government (even though they need it) b/c of its interventions re: slavery & Jim Crow. Image

I’m gonna preface this by saying it’s mostly anecdotal but the patients I’m seeing virtually in TX (mostly White, rural/suburban) have been so medically unwell for the last month, primarily upper respiratory and gastrointestinal. Lots of flu, a smattering of COVID and colitis…
At first I was like well yeah it’s winter and cold/flu season plus vaccine refusal is off the charts, so folk aren’t keeping up with COVID boosters or annual flu shots etc., but now that it’s coupled with #InstabilityInChief shuttering public health services & communication... 🥴
And then it got even weirder this week when a patient told me school districts near him were closing in droves and said 650! students were out sick. I googled as soon as the session ended and look: nbcdfw.com/news/local/sch…

Wake me when the folk who are feigning shock, awe and poutrage about Trump doing all the heinous shit he said he was gonna do direct their complaints to the MSM that propagandized them blind (b/c they wanted to be) and is still enabling/sugarcoating fascism/White supremacy.

Let me address this now (again) b/c folk keep asking: NO I’M STILL NOT opening an account on any other social media platform. Y’all are asking this of a Black, native Texan woman whose entire family tree is Black native Texan. *I don’t flee for the Confederacy’s benefit.*
Y’all can feel free to do what sits right in your spirit but I’m not scared of a damn tweet. I walk around IRL as a Black woman knowing full well that my gracefully unbothered existence in spaces racists don’t want me in is an act of civil disobedience, protest & radicalism.
Not only that but what point is even being proven right now other than a real time illustration of how easy and uncomplicated it was (still is) for certain folk to flee to bluer, “safer” territory for the Confederacy’s benefit while the space they fled becomes more Confederate?
