since u guys r here- my mom used to work in the jungle scene in nyc in the 90s after she was scouted by some dude while she was shopping at VP records in jamaica queens- she had blue hair and he was like "what r u doing here u have blue hair" and she was like "im from 🇬🇾" and
he was like "have you heard of jungle" and she was like o_O and then she became a promoter. least underground person she worked w was goldie. in fact i didnt realize how popular he was until a year ago lol. producer sent her gnarls barkley crazy couple months b4 it was released
other than that she just went to shows and talked to people and did graphic design. pitbull met her once and gave her some sample LP he made and she said it sucked and didnt call him back. thats about it thanks for reading lol
she used to do photoshoots and stuff like that in our apartment so a non-negligible number of underground junglists have given me fist bumps and piggy back rides. they were always so friendly. ome of my moms friends used to spin records w his tongue
