There is a group of accounts on @Twitter trying to affect the Kyle Rittenhouse Trial by spreading falsehoods about the sequence of events and what occurred.
I have included screenshots and video so you can determine it for yourself.
🧵 Thread
__
These accounts will say a guy chased him, threw something, & he shot him, but that is false. The first shooting was not self-defense
NOTE the guy who chased him threw a PLASTIC BAG likely because KR was running across a parking lot w a gun. KR never turns his weapon on him.
1/
1. Kyle runs across parking lot towards a group behind a few cars.
Person running after him is NOT who he shot.
HERE is the sequence of events.
Everyone can watch for themselves here.
__ 2/
2. Kyle shoots at a group that cannot be seen (he is also hidden behind some cars.)
Guy who chased after him is on the right.
KR NEVER points his gun at him so he never thought he was a threat.
video
__ 3/
3. Kyle Rittenhouse emerges from behind the cars.
Guy who chased him is administering to the guy KR is charged with shooting.
__ 4/
4. Guy down on ground (shot in the head) KR running away from the man down.
5. Man shot is down.
Man who chased KR (likely because he was running towards people w a gun) is administering aid.
Kyle Rittenhouse has run off at this point.
__ 6/
6. Kyle Rittenhouse is reported to have said
"I just shot somebody"
7/
8. This is the man Kyle Rittenhouse shot.
__ 8/
7. He runs and they start to chase him in the street as he exits the parking lot (because people are yelling that he just shot someone and they need to stop him)
9/
Kyle Rittenhouse's defense is that he shot people in self-defense, but it is very hard to see the first shooting video and believe this is true.
However, the disinformation accounts want you to think that he was attacked in the 1st shooting and he most certainly was not.
10/x
@AriMelber Great coverage today .... btw this was the first killing KR committed. Sure you have probably seen it, but most have not .. they only have seen what led up to the second one so they think he was acting in self-defense.

@verge Publications love to write daming articles based on affiliate marketing, which uses SEO Techniques, but is not the SEO Industry. I know most of the people in the article, some very well. This was a very bad take on a very narrow slice of what SEO is about and what we do.
1/
@verge Let's talk about the real SEO industry of which affiliates are a part, but not the main part or even a majority part.
I was creating and coding websites in 2004 when I discovered SEO. I was looking for something new to get into ..
2/
@verge I was trying to save my company on the 4 million a year they were spending on Google Clicks.
What made me fall in love with it was it was never boring. It was always new AND the people were so interesting. No one came to SEO via school. Everyone was self-taught and..

🟥🧵👇 When @TuckerCarlson releases his cherry picked vid this week to support a false narrative? Watch this video & remind yourself this was #Jan6th & when watching look for the long shot of the crowd trying to barrel through the doors.
And if that still leaves you unsure? Here's a playlist from YouTube from reporters & some on the ground videos made by peopJan6thle there -- to remind you of what really happened.
And if you need even more convincing, here's a well-organized video list from @propublica of many of the videos from Parler that were dropped that day -- mostly by people that were participating in the #insurrection.
🟥👇 How inciteful can rhetoric be? This is an anecdotal story of my night at a hotel this week.
A thread 🧵
I was getting a little bit of food at the bar -- it was late † and the guy sitting next to me started repeating propaganda stories from right wing media.
1/
The first one he told me is the second largest terrorist attack in history the United States occurred in Las Vegas at Christmas.
I live in Las Vegas so I knew that wasn't true and I mentioned that probably wasn't accurate. (It wasn't.)
2/
A guy did run his car into the solar station that power is the MGM properties but there was no effect from that other than him burning up his car and causing some damage to the solar station.
Hardly massive
The guy was deemed mentally ill, so also not a terror attack.

.@MarriottBonvoy I had a problem the other night where my hotel room didn't exist because of overbooking. There were two great people at the desk around 11:00 at night to help me.
That's why I use you because there's customer service when I get there.
1/
They took care of my room, they made sure my costs were refunded they even covered my Uber to the other hotel and the airport in the morning.
100% win. How could I be mad? My point being don't become one of those that use digital kiosks, but people for check-ins.
2/
Self-service kiosks are fine as long as people are still there to do the job. But having customer service available to you the moment there's a problem saved me from hating you in that moment to being very appreciative.
