The comments on this are just unbelievable.

Yes folks, what a BRILLIANT idea it would be to deny these students support, advice, help of any kind... and stigmatise them instead, because your ideology is more important than their lives and their bodies.
Lots of students are in sex work of some sort. That's a reality. You can either deny that reality or deal with it in a supportive, compassionate way.

If you don't like it, bring back maintenance grants. But I bet most of those condemning have constantly voted for tuition fees.
Constantly voted for massive student debt. Then you wonder why stuff like this happens?

Prostitution is legal in Uruguay - which helps keep those who do it a lot safer. Those involved in it pay into the tax system and receive social security and healthcare. That's a good thing.
It's also a million miles better than the absolute nonsense in so-called First World countries which fail completely to keep sex workers safe... and instead, stigmatise them.

See also: drugs. The war on drugs is an absolute disaster. It kills untold numbers in Central America.
And South America. It is quite literally the reason why so many women and girls desperately flee for their lives from failed, wartorn states to the US... where they're demonised for doing so and face horrific, brutal treatment.

So what do we do to help them? Nothing.
We simultaneously maintain an idiotic, hypocritical, puritanical stance, criminalising all of it (yet not alcohol or tobacco) - while banks launder billions, and Western consumers keep consuming and keep the cartels in business.

Those cartels stop at NOTHING.
If the horrific levels of femicide in Central America appal you - as they'd appal anyone - you should be campaigning for all drugs to be legalised, regulated and taxed. That'd destroy the cartels instantly; it'd end the violent crime around drugs.

But I bet you're not.
I have lots and lots and lots of issues around prostitution. The suffering that goes on in that 'industry' is often horrific; and if you have sex with someone who'd been trafficked, that is rape. Period.

Traffickers should be locked up for life.
But I am not and have never been comfortable with saying 'there's no such thing as sex work' (there is: and you insult heaven only knows how many women by saying otherwise); or with saying 'no woman would ever choose to sell her body'.

Yet some do. Fact. And you stigmatise them.
No woman can somehow speak for every single woman on planet Earth. Nobody should impose their ideology on or judge others like this.

It is, to repeat, THEIR LIVES and THEIR BODIES.

By stigmatising them, you're only reinforcing what toxic men have done since time began.
The idea that not one single woman on any high class escort website anywhere in the world hasn't chosen to do it because it makes them lots of money is ridiculous.

(Read that bit above carefully before you judge me for it).

Ditto: OnlyFans.
I have no time at all for any culture which makes teaches so many young women that the way to get rich is to sell their bodies in one way or another.

But that culture exists. It's very much part of late stage capitalism. And I'm not about to judge anyone who's part of it.
(Anyone except pimps, that is. Who are just pure, unadulterated vermin).

First it was: 'Believe women, except if they're lesbians'. Appalling.

Now it's: "Women know what it is to be a woman, but let's judge any woman in sex work and not help them at all'. Also appalling.
Respecting the individual and individual choices just can't be that hard.

(And yes, I know many of those in prostitution haven't made such a choice. So help them and imprison the traffickers - but you won't do it if you don't legalise drugs too).

Some eyepopping stats about Solskjaer's time at Man United - specifically, at home:

- This season, they've conceded more goals at home than Norwich. 11 goals from 6 games, their worst since 1976

- They've already lost 8 home league games this calendar year: the worst since 1989
- They've not kept a single clean sheet at home since March: 14 games, the worst since 1959

- They only won 5 home league games between March and November 2019

- Sheffield United won there for the first time since 1979
- Crystal Palace won there back to back having not won there since 1989

- Cardiff won there having not done so since 1954

- Burnley won there having not done so since 1954

And the rot at Old Trafford specifically goes back well before Solskjaer's time too.

A little update to this. He is DEFINITELY recovering and his courage to survive is just unbelievable.

Yesterday, I found him sitting on his lonesome outside the local bakery. He immediately flew straight to my balcony to wait for my return there. 🥰
Then today, he appeared when bigger pigeons were on the balcony. They chased him off and I was FURIOUS. I shook my curtains at them: a signal they know means "scram!"

That must be confusing. "Shaun, we thought you were our friend". Yes, I am - but I won't tolerate bullying!
And... it worked. They scarpered, he returned half an hour later, and he gently trotted in. In other words, he can almost walk again! ❤️🙏

All that in just 4 days since something so awful happened to him. I find it astonishing. And his feathers are visibly growing back too.

Every last thing O'Brien says in this call applies to HIM over 2019.

- Cheerled for Fracking Jo Swinson
- Lied constantly about Labour's Brexit position
- Actually referred to Labour as 'the party of Holocaust denial'
- Insisted 'any other leader would be 20 points ahead'
- Referred to Corbyn as 'Magic Grandpa'
- Referred to 13 million Labour voters as a 'cult'
- Constantly ignored what the Tories were doing
- Just punched left instead

He had all the information at his disposal. The above is what he chose to do.
He was every bit as wrong as any Brexit voter he publicly lampoons... and he still doesn't get it even now.

And you know what he does with anyone who disagrees with him on here? Like Owen Jones, he blocks them.

I know they have to say this, don't get me wrong. But God it annoys me.

'Working people'. 'Hardworking families'. The latter, making it sound like 2-year-olds only matter if they're already slaving their guts out.

Work is good for us, yes. But so is leisure.
The world's happiest places are consistently the most egalitarian.

And the world's most egalitarian societies place an emphasis on WELLBEING and FREE TIME.

Because we're not on this planet to sit in grim as hell offices all day long being bullied by arseholes for poverty pay.
We're not on this planet to spend our whole lives slaving away doing something we hate only to drop dead in sheer exhaustion the moment we can finally afford to stop.

The meaning of life? It's love. In all its forms.

Dear me.

When a straight woman says she wants a 'tall, dark, handsome man', is she being short phobic, pink phobic or ugly phobic? No: she's expressing a physical preference.

Lesbian women are attracted to... other women. Not to an 'essence' or an 'aura'... but to other women
Not only that - but sexual attraction IS NOT MATHS. It's biological, it's chemical... and while I hate to be so blunt, physical desire frequently involves desiring someone else's body parts. And enjoying them to both partners' fullest.

This stuff isn't controversial.
It's only become so thanks to an unhinged, mad discourse which isn't just denying sex itself - it's now started denying the basis of sexual attraction! It's taking us back beyond prehistoric times in the name of 'progress' and 'inclusion'. 🙄
