1. Local BJP leaders, concerned with continuing Chinese construction activity in the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal had shared these pics of the region. Widely reported. This is well south of the village being discussed and deeper into our territory. (more)
2. The military garrison shown in the last image is clearly identifiable in both Google Earth and satellite images in the original ndtv report - ndtv.com/india-news/chi…
2. A WhatsApp forward shared to describe the images said, ''New power house and its dam have been constructed [at] a place called Bisa over Lensi river, between original Maja ... '' (more)
3. ''... now under Chinese administration and Indian Maja, wherein a para military camp lies. Showing a new road is a double lane road constructed by the govt of China towards these power near present Maja.''
4. This detail never featured in our original report since I could not independently corroborate some of it. However, I was able to match the images with some of the high res satellite imagery of the area.

1. (Thread) Over the last year, @ndtv has highlighted Chinese `salami slicing' of territory in the Himalayas through detailed satellite imagery. While the attention of the world has been on Ladakh, China's territorial ambitions in the Eastern frontier have been more insidious.
2. This report on the construction of a Chinese village, near the 2017 Doklam faceoff site shows how Beijing violated the territorial integrity of Bhutan, bypassed Indian defences and continued construction towards the vulnerable Siliguri corridor.

3. This report showed how China has built 3 villages, approximately 5 km from the Bum La pass which lies close to the tri-junction between India, China and Bhutan in western Arunachal Pradesh. This puts pressure on the LAC.

3. This utterly biased system of entry pushes fully vaccinated Indian students into 10 day quarantine. The SAME vaccine was exported to your country from India and administered to your citizens. Why the senseless discrimination?

1/4 Sadly, today's @BharatBiotech statement saying the @WHO may clear Covaxin between July and Sept will add to tension of students who have had the vaccine & want to study abroad. Colleges open in Aug/Sept - many don't presently recognise Covaxin since its not WHO approved.
2/4 Important for Indian students seeking admission to seek individual exemptions. Of course, just being allowed into many countries is the biggest question now given the travel ban.
