I’ve faltered and not been the perfect son several times.Yet my mother loved me all the same on all those occasions. She never discriminated between my sibling and I.She never expected me to stand up for 52seconds everyday nd sing her glory. She never forced me to do something 1/5
2/5 never forced me to do something because my third cousin is in Siachen. She never told me what I can eat,who I can love, and who I can worship. We have a million disagreements.Yet she’s never told me to make Mom-istan my mother instead. She never starved me as an infant to build
3/5 a statue of her favorite people. She doesn’t expect me to prove my love to her every waking moment. She’s never locked me in a room because I dared to criticize her.
Therefore,I’m sorry but the BJP’s idea of BharatMata is not my mother,My mother has love for every1 in her heart
4/5 My mother has love for everyone in her heart.Narendra Modi’s India is neither my mother nor my India. The only country I belong to is the one that’s tolerant, inclusive, caring, and secure in itself. My India is the one that doesn’t care about cosmetic respect and treats all its
5/5 My India is the one that doesn’t care about cosmetic respect and treats all its citizens equally and respects their rights. I will not let a bunch of 30-something percent douchebag citizens and their bigoted leaders dictate what my idea of India should be.

Today Monday it's the 5th anniversary of that day of monumental stupidity when banknotes were withdrawn from circulation. It was Modi’s stupidity!Who can forget that day?
According to a 2011 Pew Research Survey,95% of Americans
1/15
2/15
95% of Americans born in 1955 or earlier said they could recall exactly where they were or what they were doing when Kennedy was killed. The sheer trauma of the event etches the day vividly in our memories.Indira Gandhi’s assassination on October31, 1984 was yet another day.
3/15
Most of us who were alive then can recall small details of that day.Even now I can recall every incident and conversation of that day.The demonetization of November8 2016 has become another day similarly etched in most minds.
The transformation of India into a police state is complete. The "world's largest democracy" has been reduced to nothing more than a farce. The tiny pockets of resistance still visible in the judiciary and media are negligible and ineffective. Why blame the politicians only? 1/6
2/6..
In the last few years, India's bureaucracy, police, judiciary, media and the corporate class have worked hard to weaken the very foundations of democracy and destroy it.
No doubt,India was run like a police state during the British Raj too;but democracy came to the country
3/6 but democracy came to the country sooner because of the Raj;and also, the unification of small kingdoms into one large country called "India". Otherwise, the subcontinent would've continued to be a collection of many small kingdoms ruled by rajas, maharajas, nawabs, and nizams.
