I am full of tears today as during the storm last night a pine martin ended the lives of 4 of my old rescued chickens. They were all 8-10 years old & semi wild. There is one very scared hen left & I must catch her today & keep her safe tonight 😢
I feel heartbroken because they have blessed my life for a while. I let them become wild & free.
I love all animals & I think of the chickens that are tortured every day as I lay mine under a tree in their final resting place.
For those of you who really know me you will know that today my heart hurts more than it did yesterday & all the other days gone before.
This is why I am here. This is why my whole life is about trying to end suffering.
For me it is not just about the animals being exploited for our greed. It is about the wild animals and the earth too. Everything is connected.
We are connected & we as a compassionate group of people can change things. We only have to believe that we can.
I believe in all of you & if you believe in me then please join me in believing that we can do something more to help save lives.
We have a chance to take a patch of land from dairy & give it back so let's do it.
noun 1. either of two abstract things that are as different from each other as possible
As a vegan I have been called extreme.
I cannot comprehend this when what non vegans do to sentient life in their billions is so extreme.
I have also been called extreme by other vegans.
I am against ‘vegan washing’ by unethical deforesting corporate giants claiming they have created a vegan product. Any company that deforests & uses child labour is not vegan for me & many others.
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've got to live with you till the end
Because a human cruelly killing
Locked us in while they were sleeping.
And the vision of the sunshine and the rain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Bloodstained floors, and screams of pain
'Neath the blowtorch and the shame
I turned my back on cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by flash of light
They slit my throat
And touched the sound of silence
And in the blowtorch light, I saw
A hundred pigs dead on the floor
Piggies screaming without sound
Piggies dying to be found
Piggies speaking truths that they
Knew would never see the light of day
And no one cared
To hear the sound of silence
