The very concept of awareness is a threat to conservatives.

The concept of accommodating others constricts their speech and their thought.
Think of the layers of narcissism necessary to believe this list fosters exclusion rather than inclusion.

Think of the extent to which the writer needs others to make him the center.

Think of all the people who must be excluded in order for the writer to feel properly included.
This is a list of his trigger words; concepts that recognize and accommodate the existence of others.

Think of the safe space he demands. It's nothing less than all the space.

Microaggressions? THIS IS A LIST OF THINGS HE CONSIDERS MICROAGGRESSSIONS.
HE has preferred pronouns. Try using the wrong one.

Antiracism is a bad thing, when it takes away your perceived privilege to define it on behalf of those who suffer it.

Checking privilege is bad, except checks on other people's "privilege" to define themselves on their terms.
After the Civil Rights Act was passed, white people cemented up swimming pools rather than share space.

"Woke" swimming pools couldn't be salvaged.

This is a call to make college a safe space again—not for all, but for an exclusive few. bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…
Anti "woke" people claim to hate trigger warnings, and claim to want free and open thought, but what they do is this.
Anti "woke" people claim to hate "safe spaces," and desire schools to be open bastions of free thought, but this is what they do.
Anti "woke" people claim to hate hearing about microagresssions, but this is what they are.
The people anti "woke" people call "woke," want someplace safe enough to be heard in a world openly hostile to them.

What anti "woke" people want is a safe space from having to hear about people they're hostile to.

If they can't get it they just want to destroy the whole thing.
If you're anti-"woke" you're a fucking spoiled child, demanding all the cake at the party then complaining that you're hungry when your stomach hurts.

You're a snowflake who can't actually handle hearing a diverse range of opinion.

Anyone who can see obvious things can see it.
What is being demanded by the anti-"woke" is the right to go through life in an all-encompassing safe space, cocooned from the expectation of accommodating or even acknowledging others—a condition they call "free thought."

If they can't get it these crybabies will cement it up.

A majority of Republicans definitely believe Covid started under Biden, and by 2022 it will be all of them.
They think Obama was president on 9/11. They think Biden made Covid, and by 2024, in the interest of seeming unbiased, Biden will be asked questions by major news media outlets about Covid starting on his watch.
“President Biden, some people believe that Covid began while Donald Trump was president. But many say it began during your presidency. Do you accept responsibility for your part in this controversy?”

Is my book more clever than my tweets?
Can't fathom the concept of someone who hasn't read my book. Is that even possible?

Both Sides, Part 4: We Are The Sides

"A thought: What if there aren’t two sides? What if there are many?—almost infinite in number, and not oppositional, but cooperative?"

getrevue.co/profile/julius…
What if there aren’t two sides, but many?—all working in a spirit of I Might Be Wrong and I’m Sorry About That and I’ll Do Better Next Time?

What if, as a result of all this, we aren’t just suddenly more sensitive as a society, but much more aware?
What if there are tens of millions of us, acting in a spirit of growth and improvement, a shared understanding that all human beings are intrinsically valuable in and of themselves, considering a truly extraordinary array of lived experiences?

I'm going to set aside my concern that its passage has just ceded any leverage progressive Dems had to pass any version of BBB and say the infrastructure bill, she is good.

And Biden better start spiking the football in all 50 states for the rest of this year and all of 2022.
Biden should address the nation every night about how the infrastructure bill is progressing and the good it is doing.

A new story every night at the exact time that preempts Tucker Carlson.
Why not? But instead of doing the phone book, a single explainer—well-written, well produced, introduced by Biden—of one aspect of the bill, or one story of success.

Make it funny. Let John Oliver narrate.
Make it inspirational. Let Tom Hanks narrate.

Both Sides, Part 3: License

"Narcissists demand permission. They usually get it.

'Both sides' is an effective permission delivery system for narcissists—and a preferred one."

getrevue.co/profile/julius…
To define in 3 rules what I mean when I say "license":

1. An idea has “license” if it is so commonly accepted that expressing it, or any other ideas or activities premised in it, carries no expectation of reputational damage or social penalty—consequences we could call reproach.
So, here’s a rather important question: who bestows license?
Here’s a rather important answer: The people who hold some measure of control over another person’s reputations, relationships, and careers.

Billionaires will literally journey to dead planets to avoid paying a fraction of their wealth to allow us to fix the one we have.
The number of people who think that The Singular Genius Of Elon Musk™️ means humanity is ready to make Mars habitable when we can't even agree to the much MUCH cheaper and easier task of keeping our habitable planet habitable is ... not encouraging.
"Billionaires will terraform Mars for us using technology they will invent with their billionaire brains."
"Let's avoid climate catastrophe instead."
"Fine to say that but how to PAY?"
"By taxing billionaires."
"Oh that's unrealistic."
