One comment from the public tonight from Erick w/ Humble Cares. Speaking about transparency around the Pos. 6 appointment process. Says questions were sent to the Board and not answered. Are not suggesting an election, but are concerned about lack of transparency.
Would like transparency around applicants and what the Board is looking for in applicants. Says if a decision has already been made without transparency, he hopes the Board understands the mistrust that would cause.
Fagen: Bond Advisory Committee has started the prioritization process. Anybody can attend the meetings and be aware of what’s happening throughout the process.
Scarfo: Finance Committee will bring a recommendation regarding health plans (staying with current plan or switching to TRS plan) in December’s meeting.

This item just passed as part of the Consent agenda:

… By approving this item, the Board authorizes the Superintendent to transfer all budget and funding needed for these additional positions, and delegates authority to the Superintendent to modify these positions in the event of changing conditions.”
