This is the new rallying cry from racists who are very good at manipulation, to ppl who are 1. easily scared of what they don’t know or 2. feel uneasy about what they consider a rapid change in the way we’re supposed to talk about diversity & the consequences of getting it wrong.

And TBH, if not for the pandemic (an actual problem that affects ppl), the CRT wedge issue would be raging even bigger. But COVID has sucked all the air out of the room. But as the pandemic gets under control, I think CRT is obviously THE talking point for every racist this cycle

Sometimes I think about my mom who is 71. When she was growing up Blacks & Whites couldn’t even be married. We’ve gone from that, to gender fluidity. That’s a lot for some ppl to digest. But I also get that there is 400+ years of pent up rage & impatience over systemic oppression
But when you’re a country built on land stolen FROM PEOPLE… built by the forced labor of STOLEN PEOPLE… And neither group is still fully equal, plus a lot of intersectionality & history books written by ppl who did all the stealing… this country has suffered a lot of trauma.
I just hope we’re smart, kind & strategic enough NOT to let the racists win. That’s all I got today. OH — also critical race theory is not being taught in schools in Oklahoma and Ryan Walters is clearly a race-baiting lunatic. 🙄 Terrifying & predictable that Stitt appointed him.
