NEW: We combed through hundreds of Jan. 6 court records to get a full picture of the weapons Trump supporters are accused of bringing to the Capitol that day.
The most common charge stemming from Jan. 6 is illegally entering the Capitol — which carries a maximum one-year prison sentence.
But adding a weapons charge ups the maximum sentence to 10 years.
The most common weapons that show up in the charging documents are knives, axes, and chemical sprays. But prosecutors also say baseball bats, fire extinguishers, and police gear taken from officers were used against authorities that day.
There's a panoply of other objects prosecutors say were used as weapons that day, such as a plank, a hockey stick, crutches, a metal whip, a desk drawer, and a lit firecracker. buzzfeednews.com/article/zoetil…
