to clarify, there's nothing wrong with commissions
but there is also nothing morally superior of commissions over NFTs
commissioned NFTs probably wont be unusual soon
probably better for artists too in terms of cash flow (payment receivables)
the main problem now is probably having to upfront foot the high eth gas fees involved in minting, listing and transacting (very unfortunately pricing out lower quantum art) with no certainty of sales
a possible outcome might be centralized platforms for artist-fans communication, creation and marketplaces, then buyers have the optionality to NFT it out onto certain chains according to artist defined params of royalties and ofc metadata and their signature for provenance

if it was me, id just wait 16 weeks for the CVX to unlock, then dump everything and begin retirement
basically if you were farming in the USDM-3CRV pool bareback and raw (not minted from collateral) and went to bed, you just got royally fucked by the emergency DAO while all the alert and fastest LPs drained the pool of 3CRV, leaving you with USDM, that you cannot natively use
@GMM_estimator@egirl_capital he's found himself a distinct winning formula, which is probably why he's dominating the NFT market as one of the most iconic artists in the space
@GMM_estimator@egirl_capital artists that are transitioning over into NFTs thinking that they will find similar success by just minting prior works will probably be in for a surprise
works done for fantia / fanbox subs will probably NOT be the same type of works that will be appreciated as NFTs
