when you see the mass graves, names of those fallen etched in Menin Gate memorial, does the reality hit of the bravery & courage shown by our forefathers. The Sikh Manifesto called for more monuments to mark the Sikh sacrifices and this is now becoming a reality all over the UK.
They signify the bravery & courage of 000s of Sikhs who travelled across the world to fight a greater tyrant & oppressor to liberate & free Europe. Sikhs fought & died keeping their Faith, Values & Sikh Identity. They stood tall in their Turbans & beards at times just Kirpans.
These statues and remembrances stands as a testament to those Sikh values and our proud Sikh Identity that many more through history have sacrificed everything to protect. #Sikhs #lestweforget2021 #ArmisticeDay #RemembranceDay2021 #WorldWarHeroes
