Dear @VP: You once wrote that, “It is misleading to suggest that impenetrable cybersecurity is possible; our focus must be on … detecting … any effort to harm us,” and we “can’t afford to be naive.” As you know, MAGAs breached voting systems in swing states & Rs blocked the #SAFEAct, which wld have required rigorous manual audits for federal races. This video misleads. The Tulare County (CA) registrar did NOT say that they used Starlink for “voting systems” or for “ballot scanners” or for “uploading votes.” She did not specify, but was almost certainly referring to voter checkin computers (e-pollbooks), which connect to the internet. 1/
2/ I have sounded the alarm about e-pollbooks for years. But they are used to sign in voters, not tabulate votes. I explain in this thread.
