This is utter nonsense. I live in Kashi and definitely don't need lectures from those who come on flying visit. People who built toilets on shikhars of temples by constructing walls and rooms around them hiding them in their houses are giving gyan on temple destruction../1

Dirty lanes, encroaching temples, selling vegetables and milk around the temples..(after hiding them inside houses), no documents to show ownership of property, now crying on twitter.
People got 3X to 3.5X of property value and amount of money is insane.

Let me explain this Dhandha people have indulged in Kashi by 2 examples ..
a. Hanuman temple near Ravindra puri (Chamroti) behind the Durga Kund
b. Temple at Rathyatra outside the water works dept

Till about 20 yrs back, this temple at Chamrothi..way towards Lanka from Ravindra Puri was a small idol kept under a tree and suddenly in past 20 years there is a temple built around it, bang in the middle of the road.. & people from that bats around hv captured half side of road

Now it can't be removed as some1 wrote "Prachin Hanuman mandir" on it. Now what.
Second case is even more interesting on Rathyatra..
There was a small idol kept inside the boundary of water works. For road widening we pleaded for land from water works and Bengali college

Finally we got the land for Rs1.2 crores from Bengali college and Water works dept gave it free and pushed their boundary backwards. This small temple which was build by the wall by employees came on the road and now pujari won't let it be removed.
It sits bang on road..

It's a small temple just outside the wall but now has come out of the wall as boundary got pushed back for road but Pujari has started calling it ancient and blocking the road.. Result? Purpose of pleading for land defeated..

I have a suggestion for these people who love the temples more than anyone else @ReclaimTemples and all. There is small replica Kashi Vishwanath near Ghat. Rani Ahalyabai made it as model.
All these Ganjedi & Sharaabi use it for smoking and drinking..get it cleaned and reclaim

We arranged people from our farm to clean it 2 years back. Found liquor bottles, broken Chillums and what not. There is one Marathi family who used to look after it but now they have moved..
