I remember when the GWOT was raging. There was a movement on the left that called for sensitivity in the way the terms “Islamic” and “terrorism” were used.

Obama himself said:
Emile Nakhleh is a retired CIA Senior Intelligence Service Officer at the CIA claimed that Obama was right to not say "radical Islam." According to him, avoiding the phrase isn't "politically correct." It's “strategic.”
Further, according to Nakhleh, using the term "radical Islam" is “divisive and adversarial, and it ALIENATES the very people we want to communicate with.”
So, the idea is that we aren’t supposed to use divisive terms when speaking about an entire group of people. Lumping people together is bad. But what about the terms “white supremacy” and “domestic terrorists”? How often do we here those?
A quick internet shows that America (Get that? The whole country) has a “white supremacy” problem. And domestic terrorists? All you have to do to be considered a domestic terrorist is disagree with CRT being taught to school children. Then you’re magically a domestic terrorist.
Even Hillary Clinton felt really good about labeling half of America as “irredeemable deplorables.” In other words, “scum of the earth, with no redeeming qualities.” Those words were used to describe anyone who refused to vote for her.
How about Kyle Rittenhouse? Even though he is white, and was forced to defend himself, which resulted in the deaths of two WHITE men, he was labeled a “white supremacist.”
In fact, regarding Rittenhouse, you might be surprised to learn that you are a white supremacist if you believe or have had any of the following thoughts:
Even actual African Americans can’t escape these wild claims of white supremacy. Winsome Sears, the first black woman elected to statewide office in Virginia, was accused of being a puppet of white supremacists. Disgusting.
So, why does the left now believe that it’s acceptable to demonize the whole of America with claims of white supremacy? Why is everything emblematic of white supremacy? Why is it now okay to lump large groups together and then slander them?
Are we no longer worried about alienating people? Does being “needlessly adversarial” and “divisive” no longer matter? If you vote for a Republican, does that automatically make you a racist and a white supremacist?
Evidence suggests that those on the political left have now have no problem demonizing those they disagree with. They invented cancel culture as a way to destroy anyone that doesn’t advance the approved narrative.
“White terrorists,” “white supremacists,” “Nazis,” and so on. I’m called these things almost daily on twitter. It’s even okay to punch *suspected* “Nazis.” I guess the good will that was extended to Muslims during the GWOT doesn’t apply to certain segments of American.
Speaking only for myself, I see no need to find common ground, or to even waste my time, with people who call me a racist or white supremacist. What’s the point? If they are going to demonize me in the same way that Nazis did the Jews, then I have nothing to say to them.
To the leftists that engage in this disgusting behavior, all I can say is grow the fuck up. For as long as you treat me like an enemy, and plot to strip me of my livelihood, I will likewise treat you as an enemy.
Oh, and for the record, I have never been a “racist white, supremacist, domestic terrorist, Nazi.”

I remember a lot of incitement and threats made against Trump. I also remember that it was encouraged by those on the political left. It was fashionable.
And the results?

This morning, and article written by @akarl_smith caught my eye. It’s about a supposed “political battlefield” that Trump and his supporters have “cultivated.”
According to @akarl_smith , “Schools have become the focal point for culture war fights that animated former President Donald Trump's base and have been advanced by conservative activists and influencers since he left office.”
I will summarize the piece here: Leftists are very upset that their efforts to indoctrinate children are now being opposed after decades of inaction by anyone on the political right.

So if you’re in terrorist-occupied territory, and the terrorists are telling you that you can’t leave until a certain set of demands or conditions are met, then you’re not… a hostage?

Once again, leftist journalists turn themselves inside out to concoct a ridiculous narrative.
Question: When are hostages not really hostages?

Answer: When the hostage situation makes a Democrat look bad. Then they’re not really hostages. They’re just guests who have not yet been invited to leave.
Let’s do a thought exercise, @NaveedAJamali. Let’s say Trump is still president. In this scenario, Trump completely botched the withdrawal. For days and days, the Taliban blockades the airport and refuses to let Americans leave. A bomb explodes and kills 14 Marines.

Thread.

It’s going to take a while to get this out, so bear with me.

Begin:

Malala Yousafzai has become an international symbol for feminism and female education equality. The political left holds her as a hero.
Malala is the daughter of educational activist, who were determined to see that their daughter get a proper education in a part of the world where women and girls were banned from attending school.
On October 9, 2012, after attending school and taking an exam, Malala and two other girls were shot. Malala herself was shot in the head and nearly died.

All American military equipment. Biden did this. He armed the Taliban with some of the best equipment available.
The Taliban, mocking the United States military, recreates the iconic flag planting on Mount Suribachi, Iwo Jima. To add injury to insult, the Taliban are fully equipped with American military equipment. cc: @mchooyah

Before all is said and done, it will very likely be revealed that the United States government intentionally and specifically handed Afghanistan over to the Taliban.
It would explain why the President of Afghanistan safely and freely left the country, via helicopter, with a satchel full of cash.
It would explain the ease with which the Taliban captured the whole of Afghanistan with zero resistance.
