Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana tests positive for COVID-19, says Senate Majority Leader Migz Zubiri. The Senate was informed as Lorenzana was in the chamber yesterday for the plenary debates on the DND’s proposed 2022 budget. @rapplerdotcom
Zubiri says this might affect the Senate’s ongoing plenary deliberations: Baka ihinto muna ang hearings bukas dahil sa exposure guys. We may have to resume on Monday na para maka pag PCR test kami lahat over the weekend
Senate President Vicente Sotto III says the chamber will just finish the plenary delibs on the proposed budget of agencies scheduled for tonight, then the Senate will suspend the debates and resume only on Monday. All those who were exposed to Lorenzana to undergo an RT-PCR test.
The Senate will also be disinfected.

Detained Pharmally execs and siblings Mohit and Twinkle Dargani name 4 lawyers to represent them during the Senate blue ribbon hearings. One lawyer, Daryl Valles, previously worked at the Office of the President, specially the office earlier held by Sen Bong Go. @rapplerdotcom
Other lawyers named by Dargani siblings in their letter to the blue ribbon committee are Don Kapunan and Demetri Felix. They said their 4th lawyer is still pending and to be confirmed.
