Open air drug markets in SF are the result of bad policy by extremist far leftists who refuse to allow social workers to collaborate with law enforcement the way they do in Amsterdam and other European countries

@RafaelMandelman explains in @ShellenbergerMD’s book San Fransicko
This book is lucid, full of real SF citizens like @Twolfrecovery @bettersoma and others who directly experience the worst of our deep policy mistakes buttressed by systemic nonprofit graft and corruption

We can’t fix it without the diagnosis. Thanks @ShellenbergerMD
What do SF Supervisors think about the open air drug laws? Well people like Campos or Boudin sponsor drug use and crime by refusing to enforce the laws. That’s the far far left.

Then there is Matt Haney who is an opportunist and has no backbone to speak of. A true Aaron Burr.
We need a return to more common sense. There is some hope in that we have @SupStefani and @RafaelMandelman but we need more.

Laws matter. The dominant ideology of SF is not working. It’s time for a sweep of the grifters who say the right things but do nothing for the citizens.
Right now the SF streets are death mills, there is minimal rehabilitation

“What’s happening is not even liberal. It’s fantasy land. This is a severe drug addiction crisis that needs greater intervention or everyone’s just going to die from fentanyl.”

Most people trying to do something new will still err too much on blending in

Often it is fear of not being taken seriously that keeps people from taking the risk.

Before you ship it, try to detect if you are pulling your punch because of this fear.
The bigger danger for people who have new original ideas is that people can’t tell it is different because at surface level it looks the same

“In a crowded marketplace, fitting in is failing. In a busy marketplace, not standing out is the same as being invisible.” —Seth Godin
Blending in is what society teaches us to do for most of our childhood and adult lives. It’s safe. We are social creatures and want to be a member of a tribe.

But: To create a tribe requires the opposite: to be willing to be on the high wire of something never before seen

I superbly wonder why white progressive transplants want me to leave

I grew up in the SF Bay Area. Being here introduced me to the prosperity of technology, whose vibrancy is admired worldwide.

Why don’t you move? Your extremism is ruining my home.
Me, the child of Chinese American immigrants

I got a job making web pages at the age of 14 to help my parents buy their first home

Why do guilty progressives want me to leave my home? Our families came here to build a better life. We found it. And now you want to take it away.
Same energy

Unhinged SF Police Commissioner calls me a face eating leopard 👏

@MaliaCohen pls fire this extremist
For those just tuning in, John Hamasaki serves on the SF police commission.

He blocked use of non lethal tasers by police in SF.

He advocates for teens to have access to guns.

A sane city would fire him immediately. We do not live in that city.

San Francisco is so brutally screwed up that the US Attorney has to make sure they take on gang-related charges federally.

Otherwise Chesa Boudin will plea them back out onto the street ASAP

SF is not completely lawless/complicit, just mostly that

sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2021/11/15/ove…
Specifically Chesa Boudin has gotten zero trials/convictions in narcotics for 2019-2020 and refuses to charge gang enhancements

I'm told the feds have to be a backstop for law and order. SF may fail its citizens but we are still Americans, and am I ever glad that is true.
Other examples of the US Attorney intervening in the most extreme cases

This armed robbery of a donut shop - would have been pled out / no chance for any intervention (let alone rehabilitation) without the feds here

Bilal Mahmood is my pick for San Francisco's AD17 state assembly seat.

We need bold common sense ideas for how to fix our city & state—
🚨 safe streets
📚 great schools with advanced math
🏡 solving the housing crisis

Follow, donate and volunteer for @bilalmahmood today
His experience reflects my experience: SF is a beacon for people who want to create new things, and it is the frontier. Immigrants from around the world come here to build the future.

But we're losing our way, and a leader like Bilal will help fix our wayward political machines
We don't need politics as usual. A vote for Matt Haney (who removed algebra from public middle schools in SF) and David Campos (who is deeply enmeshed with the progressive machine owned by nonprofits like TODCO) is a path to ruin.

If we let the machine fester, SF will suffer.

Myrna Melgar is such a political neophyte she said the quiet part out loud in the SF Chronicle. She admitted to corruption that should be illegal.

Classless taunting by someone who didn't win the most first place votes to begin with ImageImage
What is this really about? Nonprofits in San Francisco run things.

And with that, corruption, graft, and our city is falling apart. Why is Myrna Melgar attacking @ShellenbergerMD?

He wrote a book on how this corrupt progressive machine has ruined this city. Image
If you want to know why our city is covered in needles, poop, crime, and no pragmatic housing, you'll have to read San Fransicko.

Melgar, Preston, Peskin, Ronen and their whole crew make sure this place stays that way.
