#LagosEndSARSPanel: Mr Abiodun Owonikoko SAN (Counsel to LASG on the Panel), He says the white paper is supposed to be the official communication to the public, Owonikoko SAN says the document being sent around is unsigned but contains all names of members.
Owonikoko SAN accused a “gentlemen” who he called ‘a very respected member’ for the entire duration stopped attending proceedings pertaining to the Lekki incident, He says the gentleman is Ebun Adegboruwa SAN .. he says he clearly has his own agenda to pursue.
Owonikoko SAN gives examples of cases where members of a Tribunal did not participate in the process of the Tribunal and still say to give judgement on the same subject matter which they did not participate in, which invalidated the whole process in court.
Owonikoko SAN says the most important part of the panel sitting is the Forensic Report, he says the panel engaged the forensic experts themselves & adjourned several times for all members to attend, DIG Lakanu (Police rep) attended while Adegboruwa was absent for the major parts.
Arise TV Reporter: Why are u just saying all this now because it didn’t Favour the State Govt.
Owonikoko SAN: The report is not unfavorable to Lagos State, the burden on Lagos State is to establish whether they deployed army and their report did not say so.
[SHOCKING]: Owonikoko SAN says he has identified almost 40 discrepancies in the so called report (If authentic), he says the panel awarded millions of Naira compensation to someone that is alive for his death, he says the person’s name appeared in the list of “deceased”.
Owonikoko SAN says there was no mention of Police casualties in the Report (The Adegboruwa report), He says the case of the boy that was killed by hoodlums in a police barracks (son of a policewoman) was not mentioned in the report even though the case was presented at the panel.
[FORENSIC EXPERT]: The Judicial Panel got their own Forensic Expert and he made submissions, while Lagos State also got their own forensic expert and the results are exactly the same … Owonikoko SAN asks: Whose evidence did the Tribunal rely on to get their final report ??
Arise Reporter: You have just come to discredit this panel on air
Owonikoko SAN: “I am not involved in sentiments”. He says Panel Chairman said it openly during the panel sessions & NBA Chairman also had to wade in and it’s not a hidden issue or false accusation.
Owonikoko SAN: No mention of of what the police lost in the report, DPO Maroko was accused without proof & recommended for prosecution, the report failed to mention the young boy that was killed in his home by hoodlums, his case was presented at the panel.
Owonikoko SAN: He says NONE of the Members of family of the names on the list of Lekki “Massacre” came to testify in front of the panel, no death certificate, no evidence of where the person died. He says he can’t believe Justice Okuwobi signed off on the report.
RUFAI of Arise TV: “You are not selling this argument to me, I am not buying it”
Owonikoko SAN: “You do not, as a journalist say that in this public forum, .. if u were a member of the panel, it shows there is no amount of evidence that will sway your view from what u’ve formed”

Ordinarily, we consider it beneath us as well-bred media professionals to continue to engage in public spat with Mr. Nduka Obaigbena, a congenital blackmailer and hustler, especially in deference to ceasefire calls by well-meaning leaders and elders.
The interventions followed our statement on Monday entitled “Obaigbena and His THISDAY/ARISE News’ Hypocritical Grandstanding On Public Morality”.
The Time Has Come To Choose Wisely
By Senator Kashim Shettima (@KashimSM)
I stand here today honoured by the burden of expectations upon me and, more tellingly, strengthened by the convictions of the patriots with us in this journey to make history.
We are brought together by a forest of ideas, but what defines us and sets us apart from other political groups is this collective realisation that the future of this country rests on the choice of a unifying leader; ..
..a leader who panders to neither ethnic nor religious agenda, and one who isn’t bound by toxic regional solidarity and yet known for a track record of outstanding leadership.
