So you think (more like pretend) that CRT isn't real, or it's real but it's evil, or it's intended to make you feel badly or guilty? Well sit down and pay attention because school's in. Here's today's lesson on the collision of White Privilege, Racism, entitlement, and CRT:
The prosecutor has renounced the conviction of the life sentence in the #KevinStrickland case in MO, yet Gov. Parson refuses to acknowledge his innocence. Likewise, with the Julius Jones case in OK. He's scheduled for execution today, yet Gov. Stitt pretends he doesn't exist.
These governors are such evil, racist monsters and small men that they require human blood sacrifices in order to entertain and appease their voters for their next elections. If these men aren't political prisoners, then the expression is completely devoid of meaning.
Ye these governors have the full and complete powers within their states to rectify these egregious miscarriages of justice. They simply have no interest because some people may not be happy, and executions of black people is customarily what they do.
Meanwhile KKK, white supremacists, and neo-Nazi are in Charlottesville on trial goofing off, cracking jokes, and making merry as if they carousing at a college frat party while they are being tried for the murder and chaos they committed. For them, none of it is serious.
Meanwhile, just a couple of hundred miles away, hundreds of people are wondering why no one seems to understand why they destroyed the capitol, threatened the lives of everyone in the building, interfered with the transfer of power, and created mayhem and death.
They want understanding because they don't like being accountable to the court. They're even missing football season at home. But their feelings are hurt because some are locked up and they're being tried since domestic terrorism isn't really socially acceptable behavior.
Clearly there are structural and institutional factors at play that enable whites to feel justified and entitled even when they're wrong, but not available to black at any point. Yet too many people want to pretend that the playing field is level, and there's nothing here to see.
Bullsh!t.

Therefore, I don't want to hear sh!t from or about aggrieved white people in Washinton or Charlottesville claiming to be political prisoners or victims. They are not. They're just self-righteous, arrogant dumbasses who tried to kill people to get their way.
They absolutely did what they did of free will, but they want everyone but themselves to be responsible.

And I don't what to hear about the governors simply following the law and doing their jobs. They're no. Their jobs are to serve and protect all citizens, even the black ones.
For the people who say none of it is about race, you're damn liars, and you know it. It's all fact, and it's happening in real time. Pretending it's anything but that is denial. So, whether you feel badly or guilty is strictly your problem.

PERSPECTIVE:

There's been lots of talk lately about infrastructure and BBB, how they need to pass, and how they'll benefit America.

All of that's true.

Here's the thing: In addition to voting for all of that, black America has had other concerns, too. Issues of life and death.
Voting rights were on the ballot in 2020, police reform was on the ballot, too. Right now, those things are dead in the water. And while people want to blame Kamala Harris of inaction or worse, failure, the fact is it's not her fault.
The fault belongs largely to white males on both sides of the aisle who are too busy, or too self-interested, or too afraid to consider anyone but themselves and their donors. Yes, "both sides of the aisle" is completely accurate.

The outright damn shame of it is just like the cop who shot Jacob Blake walked away, shooter who killed the protesters seeking justice for Blake walks away, too.

And people wonder why shit gets burnt up when there's injustice and they call for peace???
Why is it that the people who suffer the most and greatest injustice are ALWAYS asked to be calm and peaceful about it?

It's because people don't want to feel guilty about their own bullshit.
This is precisely why racist whites don't want CRT or black history - history generally - to exist. The criminals are helped to escape by the system then they try desperately to rewrite the history. And nobody wants to face their own wrong shit.

Welcome to gaslit racist America.

It's weird to hear the media sort of whining about how other than Bannon, the other's claiming executive privilege may have stronger claims. That's nonsense.
We spent 4 years with Don McGhan and Bolton's deputy, Charles Kupperman, in court challenging their requirement to testify based on executive privilege claims. It's been adjudicated.
SCOTUS has already ruled that there is no privilege that protects Trump admin staff particularly when crimes or national security are at stake. Individuals cannot assert them privilege; the administration must assert it.

Rick Grenell needs to be arrested for interfering with foreign policy, particularly as it relates to Russia and eastern Europe. He is nobody and has no authority. That takes on even great priority as Russia is moving assault troops on the Ukraine border.
And, who is funding these trips and Trump's attempt at a running a shadow government anyway?

We got in trouble in 2016 because the Logan Act was treated like a joke by Mike Flynn. They're doing it again because there still haven't been any serious consequences.
We, as a nation, need to stop pretending like it's a joke or it's funny. It's deadly serious. The administration must take it that way and act accordingly.

It's kind of funny, but yesterday I had a lady castigate me because I didn't believe something said in court during the Rittenhouse case. Well yeah, that's kind of the whole point. I don't believe any of his defense.
When:

- You show up with a gun somewhere you shouldn't be and you can't explain why,
- Your own mother lies about your change of address,
- The judge is working harder for your acquittal that even your attorneys, and
- Your defense is paid for by the KKS and neo-Nazis,
and you willingly participate with them as they propagandize the murder and trial making you a hero

Then you may be entitled to a trial, but you kind of forfeit your presumption of innocence.

That doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

Who authorized the media to qualify Trumpist violence, lawlessness, and insurrection as "mainstream?" They may disagree, but every time journalists call Trumpers and their representatives mainstream it essentially endorses and condones everything that comes along with Trumpism.
That then normalizes those individuals and their actions within and as part of society.

It isn't, and they're not.

At the point where the majority of Americans are domestic terrorists, insurgents, anti-fact and anti-reason zealots, then Trumpism will achieve mainstream status.
Until then, the press has a duty and responsibility to actively avoid lazy, dishonest, inaccurate, and dangerous nomenclature, and the rest of us have a responsibility to call them out on it every time. If the press is the first draft of history, then we must not base it on lies.
