Tipu attacked the Maratha town of Nargund , imprisoned the ruler , forcibly converted Hindus and committed atrocities on the female population.

That was the trigger for first Maratha attack on Tipu around 1785. Image

First attack on Somnath was by an Arab - Junaid Ibn Al Marri in 725 AD.

It was rebuilt by Nagabhatta II in 815 AD.
Whole article is a bunch of jokes.

🤣🤣
According to Commies, miniature paintings and few elaborate tombs outweigh destruction of temples and wholescale conversions. 👏👏

Aswaklanta temple, Assam.

Current structure built by Shiva Singha in 1720 AD.

Believed to be the place where Shri Krishna halted when he arrived to battle with Narkasur.

Aswa Klanta = Horse Halt. Image
Another theory - Cavalry assembled for helping Abhimanyu halted here.

(Seems a long shot)
Narkasur descendant - Bhagadutta - married his daughter to Duryodhana and fought on side of Kauravas in Mahabharata.

Congratulations @vikramsampath and @sanjeevsanyal

You are the pseudo historians mentioned here.
Gate keeping 101.

Book is available for anyone to purchase for nominal price and trash with proper sources. No that we won't do.. instead we will insist on University Press and peer reviews.
What about the converse ? Supposedly peer reviewed and Academic seminar vetted Grandees who get their " research" demolished on Social Media ?

Oh wait, that doesn't count.

A rather unfrequented fort near Karwar (about 50km off) , in excellent condition. One of the best भुई कोट you can see.

In fact only half hour from Gokarna.
Lot of Nag Sculptures can be seen stacked under a tree on the fort.
Crenellations and bastions in good condition.
