Incredible letter from two dozen Arizona lawmakers to DOJ and FBI pointing to evidence "Arizona Representatives Mark Finchem, Anthony Kern, Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs encouraged, facilitated, participated and possibly helped plan this anti-democratic insurrection on January 6"
@nycsouthpaw appearance in these docs-
"No credible threats" as of 10:00 AM on January 6, per an email to then deputy AG Donoghue, interim US Attorney for DC Michael Sherwin, and John Moran, former Chief of Staff to the Deputy Attorney General
Would definitely be important to know more about this meeting and what was discussed.
These call logs may be the most important thing in this set of docs- including calls from WH to AG Rosen. (h/t @mbaram

For @politico, @freedlander profiles Dustin Stockton and Jen Lawrence, who produced the Save America rally at the Ellipse on January 6.

"They no doubt spoke to me for this story, in large part, because they thought they could vindicate themselves." politico.com/news/magazine/…
This points to a possible battle between the organizers- those that planned what would happen at the Ellipse, and the President and a fringier contingent that intended to take the crowd to the Capitol. Note: this is their story and they are sticking to it, but we'll see:
Also of note- Stockton says the White House had told him the rally at the Ellipse might go on through the day. This part seems fishy- @freedlander is notably skeptical throughout the piece.

1/ Good morning. Yesterday the Washington Post published a very important report on January 6- before, during, and after. I reckon it's one of the most important accounts published anywhere to date. It is full of new reporting and detail. washingtonpost.com/politics/inter…
2/ The article opens with the incredible account of Donell Harvin, a homeland security official who convened the nation's fusion centers which- for the first time since 9/11- were blinking red "coast to coast". He even told DC to prepare for mass casualties ~48 hours in advance.
3/ Based on interviews with more than 230 people and thousands of documents and multimedia assets, the report finds the "red flags were everywhere" and were compounding even weeks before the attack.

The Washington Post has a new, comprehensive timeline with new details on the before, during and after of January 6.

These details suggest multiple social media firms had sent posts warning of Jan 6 violence (publicly only Parler is known so far to have sent warnings direct to the FBI.)
This is consistent with what Wray and others have said but the details on Dataminr are new.

As Mike Pence hid from a marauding mob during the Jan. 6 invasion of the Capitol, John Eastman, an attorney for Donald Trump, emailed a top Pence aide to say that Pence had caused the violence by refusing to block certification of Trump’s election loss.
