@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP Achieving my political goal of extracting the UK from the EU is all the victory I (or Nigel Farage and all our comrades-against the EU) need.

But let me give TEN good reasons:

(in no particular order, but)

1. Being so successful it has pissed you off so much you are our Troll
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP 2. British Laws for British People. Those who make our laws should be those elected by the people they represent – and not unelected EU Commissioners and bureaucrats.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP 3. EU pushed up your fuel bills with the most expensive energy policy in the world, pushed up food bills with its Common Agricultural Policy, increases the cost of goods with rules restricting us from buying products from outside the EU, plus extra EU costs adds to your taxes.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP 4. The EU membership fee alone costed the UK over £55 million per day. By leaving the EU we save at least £9.7bn pa in net contributions.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP 5. Leaving the EU means the UK can (if the UK Government had the political will - which Boris Johnson clearly never had) to have an immigration system that is firmer than EU open border uncontrolled mass EU immigration and fairer to Commonwealth and non-EU potential migrants.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP 6. The EU has 8% of the world’s population and is in economic decline. There is vast growth in parts of the other 92% and the UK’s best future is out of the EU and into the world. In fairness, Liz Truss (a reformed Remainer) has done quite well so far.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP 7. Britain is 5th biggest economy in the world, has the biggest financial centre in the world + is one of world’s most globalised economies. We can flourish as an independent nation, trading with allies in Europe (except the French) + Commonwealth as well as rest of the world.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP 8. The EU destroyed the right of national governments to levy taxes where income is earned. Large corporations with vast operations making billions of pounds in the UK can pay little or no tax by electing to move their tax base to another country. We can now deal with this.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP 9. The EU is a construct of the 1950’s, but the world has moved rapidly on. Why would the people of the UK have wanted to remain in a stagnant customs union of corporatism and protectionism, which was holding Britain back?
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP 10. EU provides big corporations with cheap, mobile, non-unionised labour force – turning human beings into commodities shunted around Europe while more and more local workers are excluded from being able to provide for their families.

Boris shamefully ignores #ChannelMigrants
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP 11. By leaving EU, UK exited Common Fisheries Policy & reinstated British territorial waters. Norway & Iceland chose control of their fishing industry over EU membership as did Greenland who withdrew from EU in 1985 following referendum.

@Conservatives let UK fishing badly down
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP @Conservatives 12. By leaving the EU the UK left the Common Agricultural Policy. We can now form our own agricultural policy in the interests of British taxpayers and consumers that is of improved benefit to UK farmers and British food security. More to be done, but now achievable.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP @Conservatives 13. By leaving the EU, we have reoccupied the UK’s formerly vacant seat at the WTO, to represent ourselves, negotiating our own trade agreements, advancing our own national interests.

As praised before, Liz Truss (who I previously never rated) has done a reasonable job to date
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP @Conservatives 14. It was always in the UK’s interest to make the most of our unique links with the Commonwealth, North America, much of Africa, the Indian sub-continent where English is the first or second language, as well as the EU and the rest of Europe.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP @Conservatives 15. EU regional funds (formerly) uses your (UK taxpayers) money to actively encourage UK based manufacturing plants to move to areas in the EU customs union with the lowest wage levels.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP @Conservatives 16. The EU is and was responsible for wage compression in the unskilled and semi-skilled labour sectors.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP @Conservatives 17. EU Arrest Warrant enables authorities to have individuals extradited from one member state to another, with varying judicial standards, without need to provide evidence against the accused. We are (partially) out of this with a weak compromise under the Withdrawal Agreement
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP @Conservatives 18. EU produces too much red tape legislation & regulations (eg. 3,580 new EU laws between 2010-2013). Only by leaving could we remove those which hamper British prosperity & competitiveness.

Lib/Lab/Con Establishment parties are too lazy to take this on. But UK can if votes to.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP @Conservatives 19. The EU has been becoming a United States of Europe, a political union with its own flag, national anthem, president, parliament, currency, central bank, a vast civil service, law-making powers, and fledgling military and police forces.
@Pete20905557 @DavidHadley1973 @UKIP @Conservatives 20. I said ten reasons? But as a knuckle-dragging UKIPer, I can't count.

How many times did we win a Westminster seat? It seems the threat to Cons/Lab of losing MP's was enough to get the #EURef and after that the people voted:

"Britain"🇬🇧
not
"Brussels"🇪🇺

Bye, bye looser 👋
